GT Academy Countdown to Fin~

All, I'm horrible with times can someone help out with what the exact time GT Academy 2012 will end for region?

On the GT Academy website, it claims the event will end 11:00 PM EST (10:00 PM CST and 8:00 PM PST). However, I've heard so many conflicting stories, I'm not sure if any of it is correct anymore. Just plan for it to end Sunday evening. Ignore the "1 Day Remaining" sign; it only counts FULL days, i.e. - there may be 1 day and 23 hours left and it would still only say 1 day remaining.

I had the same train of thought about the 1 day so many hours theory. I sure hope so. It also said the competition started Monday may 1st. Monday may 1st is non existence.

I believe once one day is up, the 24 hour countdown will start, which should pin point the end of the comp.

With one day left (give or take), who feels more pressure? Those just outside the top 32, or those just inside the top 32? (Keeping in mind we don't know how many are disqualified...)

I think it's those that are just inside that feel the most pressure.

I feel a ton of pressure right now and im in 12th place. Im keeping my fingers crossed hoping my time will stick for a top 32 spot.

Okay, the countdown timer just started and it shows just under 24 hours remaining as of this posting, which would be 7:00 PM EST. The "Official Rules" (found: http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/academy/2012/rules/) clearly state that it's supposed to end at 11:00 PM EST. That's a four hour difference! The rules also state that any changes in the schedule will be posted on the Gran Turismo website as well as in an email to all registered participants; however, there is nothing on the website and I haven't seen an email. What's the deal?

I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't a 4 hour difference. A lot can be accomplished in 4 hours!

EDIT: I just realized 11:00 PM UTC is the same as 6:00 PM EST. I don't know why the website says 11:00 PM EST and the countdown clock is counting to 11:00 PM UTC. Is it a typo? If so, which one is correct?

Maybe thats what the registration email was about. Saying that the registration was closing earlier. I didn't get the email, but someone who did should read through it and see if they moved up the registration deadline because registration closed early too.

My email just said thanks for registering, and talked about the competition. Since all the rounds usually started around 7:00 pm EST I think it will probably end then, but I'm just speculating here.

I am talking about the email people say they got a day or two ago reminding them to register.

Posted on GT Academy's facebook wall regarding the end time. Hopefully someone in charge sees it before everything wraps up early like the registration.

Also, should I be worried if I registered but never received a confirmation?
