It looks like no-one has picked up on this one yet, but about 6 hours ago the GT Academy twitter feed said this:

"@GTAcademy: GT Academy Europe 2011 by #PlayStation and #Nissan announcement coming soon"

No further details as yet, but this is the first tweet from this feed since May 2010. Make of it what you will.

Nice, looking forward to it. I just hope it won't be such a mess as with the US GT Academy. Hope this next patch will bring some good penalty system.

Does Australia get to participate in this?

Now do you people see why New Zealander's like to differentiate themselves from Australian's :P

On a serious note : I hope you European's handle yourselve's a lot better than the yank's, geez wasn't that an advert for honourable racing.

Is Australia in Europe?

Australia and New Zealand competed with Europe last time, as they are considered PAL territories.

No Belgium :-(

Indeed, last time I at least could use an address with a letterbox in Belgium.
If I now need to use my last resort (I actually still have an option in a country that participates) it is getting ridiculous. I guess I will not bother anymore.

March 4 2011 Start

Ok, now that everyone knows what countries are included. Lets move onto the the real issues of the Academy!

What cars are likely to be used in the first round?

What tyres will the cars be using?

What are peoples guess at the likely tracks, I have seen the American series tracks and maybe the European ones could be the same?
