I did 5 laps on Eifel. I am somehow already in the top 20 with a 1:16.856
Also, this is the first time I've turned on the PS3 since Sunday.

What? You're in the top 20? That truly IS amazing.

Amazing that you're not in the top 5.

I know. I've been 1 tenth quicker on sector 1 and sector 3 so a top 10 or even a top 5 is still very close.

I have put the weight reduced GTA Leaf on share for anyone who wants to borrow.

Feel free to add me, I will still be awake for a bit!

Okay! I'll send you a FR in a couple minutes :)

Well I broke down and did them.

The TT was fairly easy to gold bone stock.

I gave the eifel race a couple of tries bone stock (CM tires) but I was a second a lap too slow and didn't see any chance of gaining that much so I switched to CS tires and won by a second.

So if you want a nice race keep it full stock with CS tires.

The AR race was pretty easy win given running at stock weight, but the TA was quite a tough nut to crack at the same weight

Had trouble with the TT, then realized PP was unlimited. Lowered the weight and still could not register a bronze. Loaded the ghost from the guy in 1st place, could not keep up with the ghost, was about 3-4 seconds behind, realizing at the finish line I golded. Woo-hoo!

Tip: load top ghost and follow

I had a go again at Eifel TT, still with unmodified Leaf, comfort medium - can't use any other, stock suspension, 334pp, after some more laps, I managed to shave my time from 1:20.xxx to 1:19.284. This is with the default weight at 1520kg. Even at 1:19.284, there are still lots of room of improvement, I have some slow section, but compared to modified Leaf with lesser weight, it's another story, a stock Leaf is simply slower.

I thought both events were fairly easy, the only thing I put on the car was the fully customizable suspension. Won the race with a 10 second lead, and golded the TT by .002 using the driving line on the first try.

I tried using suspension on the TT but I couldn't get anywhere near my fastest time, I'm a terrible tuner. Best on the race was 7th, it's like the final kart race all over again, I'm bad at Autumn Ring Mini. :indiff:

After few more laps at Eifel TT with stock leaf, I had a better time at 1:19.098 with a slow last corner, 1:18.xxx is within reach with completely stock Leaf

I´m sure the race wasn´t won by 10secs only with FC Suspension on CM tyres.
If so , I´d like to see that.

.

I like the Eifel TT so much, invested in 5 more laps, now I finally have 1:18.879 with a completely stock Leaf, the last corner definitely is where most of my time is lost. Now I wonder if an unmodified leaf could reach 1:17 range ?

For the TT:

Your setup has a bad push on corner exit. Try the fixed Sports Suspension compared to yours. Gotta give you credit for posting a setup. The guys running 16's are not using a simple Fixed Sports or stock setup!

I sure would love to know how the frack people are put Sport Mediums on the TT. It's locked to Comfort Mediums!!!

lldantell setup should at least get the car in 1:17 range with weight reduction alone and stock suspension, I have a completely stock leaf - 1520kg with 1:18.xxx, the weight saving of 300kg alone should shave at least 1 to 2 seconds, add to that full custom suspension, I think 1:15 range is just matter of time.

If I were to tune the leaf suspension to , this will be it :

GTP_Orido

Nissan leaf g(gt academy) tune with Comfort Medium

108 hp
1520 kg
334 pp

parts fitted

Full custom suspension

suspension setting are mainly to reduce understeer on exits, neutral corner entry and slight oversteer under braking, throttle play should be enough on most corners to maintain cornering speed.

F / R
ride height -25/-25
camber 0.5/0.5
spring rate 6.0/2.4
toe angle 0.00/-0.15
dampers extension 2/4
dampers compression 2/4
anti roll bars 2/1

brake balance
6/8 - rear bias for better turn in -reduce to 3/5 if it's too sensitive.

This might not suitable to everyone tastes, but give it a try, be smooth, this setup works best with smooth throttle, braking and steering. Lift off the throttle for tightening apexes, this is what this tune set for, easy 1:18.xxx and in the hands of fast driver 1:17.xxx is possible.

I tried your tune and if you using a controller to tune this thing then that might be why you put -25/-25 because Im using a wheel and to me that ride height is too low.i tried -17/-25 and it helped me by 2 seconds

^ Yeah I did use stick :) I am glad it could help, how did you find the car balance with the steering wheel after the ride height changes ?

The front feels less stiff and easier to turn.i did over 1:19.3xx so I'm close to 1:18 which you claimed when I changed ride height

I haven't broke my old time with the full suspension tune I posted, my previous time 1:18.879 was with stock suspension.
I did have consistent 1:19.0xx during testing with the tune I posted, I made the tune to make Leaf easier to drive around corners, but now I know with different input methods, even a simple tune could have different result. Thanks for the feedback:tup: lldantell. I am sure you can still be faster with the steering wheel.

Interisting tune ill try it out later, I was running like a spring rate of 5/6.5 with a similar damper setup but had 2.6 front camber 0 in the rear with -.10 toe in the rear so i could break the rear loose diving into the corners to get a better angle on it .
This was for the TT sitting at a mid 18
