GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

Endless-Wilso
Interisting tune ill try it out later, I was running like a spring rate of 5/6.5 with a similar damper setup but had 2.6 front camber 0 in the rear with -.10 toe in the rear so i could break the rear loose diving into the corners to get a better angle on it .
This was for the TT sitting at a mid 18

Negative toe might help this tune, but you can be pretty aggressive as it is now. I still might try that though.

Thanks for the tune!! I got in the top 10 with a 1:16.473 👍:D:tup:

You are welcome. I knew a better drive could do better then me. Great job! 👍 :dopey:👍

I do believe that the Autumn Ring Mini race is the fastest way of grinding money at this point.

If you fit SMs to the car (note that it weirdly switches to CS tyres even if you didn't buy them before the start...), you can do the whole 5 laps in something like 3:55 (the top AI will do it in 4:01) without even going at full pace. You'll usually rack up around 46-47s lap times, a fast lap will get you into 45s. My current record on it is a 3:52 I believe.

What's even better is that you don't have to scroll through all the prizes you get because you only win them once.

You effectively get, with full bonus, 600,000 Cr. (you can receive credits more than once) every 4 minutes, and considering you'll be able to do 15 races in an hour, you're looking at 9 million Cr. an hour. And the most common grinding method of the Prius TC on Cape Ring Periphery @ FF Challenge takes about 10 mins and gets you 1.1 mill per race, which overall will only net you 6.6 mill per hour. So yeah...just a bit of advice for y'all.

Hmm...I'll try that out. Currently I've been using the Delta detuned for 420pp to get 1.3mil credits/9min in the 4wd seasonal...

EDIT: what tune are you using on the leaf?

EDIT: what tune are you using on the leaf?

Completely stock sans the SM tyres.

But with your method, if you did that four times you'd get 5.2 mil in 36 mins. Doing this 9 times (so the time you did both is the same) gets you a little over that - 5.4 mil.

Thanks! I'll be doing this when I get home
I'm getting a bit burnt out of grinding the same event for a while

Just pulled a 3:49 with a best lap of 45:0xx for this one, using krenkme's tune. Pretty quick way to make som bux! :)

Wow, Nissan must have chewed PDs ass over the low download numbers of the GT Academy Prize Cars (see cars we already have + new stickers), so Pd obey with a seasonal and a news update to get people to download.
It's so sad that the GT brand has become Nissans advertising Biatch.

I can't believe Leaf is so much fun, got a better time at Eifel TT after another 2 laps run with a stock Leaf at 1:18.516. The last corner could have been done faster, another half a second is possible ?
Looks like a weight reduced Leaf could gain at least 2.5 seconds advantage against at full weight leaf.

Finally managed it,I did a 1:20.789,yes I'm one of those who just likes to gold these events so job done for me,oh and some of the credit goes to Krenkme who's tune I used on the car.:)

Sadly, no. Unless you completed all of GT Academy with all Golds, (or at least had gold on any 5 of a single group) you cannot participate in this because you cannot acquire the car.

He can participate, see below.

Okay, thanks for letting me know, I missed the GT Academy :grumpy:

Send me a pm if you want to borrow a Academy Leaf.

people must correct me if I am wrong but I believe it is still possible to download the academy, get the golds and recieve the price cars.

Unfortunately it has closed, you cannot load the game now.

With my awful driving I am currently in the top 2000. Could a real driver try it please :dopey:

Thanks for this man...did the job nicely. The suspension changes made it much more 'pointable' when you let her ride through the sharper turns. Took a second and a half off my lap times at Autumn Ring Mini.

👍

I had a 18.4 but then i realised it was full weight yet so imma go back with the weight reduction and try again.
EDIT
Yep took a whole second off I think i should be able to get near 1:17 flat.

👍

A very enjoyable car to drive :dopey:

Thank you all for trying the tune. I was worried that it was junk, but it seems it has turned out okay :dopey:

Y'know, I had a tune that I thought *felt* a little better around the Autumn Ring, but the fastest times I could pull with it were in the 46.4xx range, so yours cut nearly a second and a half off those times, so I was quite happy with that! It also slashed nearly a second off the Eifel course, so kudos to you for that tune!

I havet tried Krenkme's tune exactly number for number but with my own i did autum ring in 3:46 had all
:45.xxx laps with a :44.7 at the end .
The tune was made for the TT which i just bested my time again at 1:17.130 DS3 just ABS on and im not the best a DS3 user around .
Fully tuned Leaf btw
Ride height -24/-24
5.0/4.0
3/2 Ext
3/3 Comp
3/4 roll bars
camber 2.8/0.0
0 front toe -.12 rear toe
Let me what you think .

I got a 1:16.423 using your tune to put me in 10th and I bumped the previous 10th place guy out by 0.001 seconds :D. I left out time in the 1st and last sectors so hopefully I can see a top 5 soon!

Mine is also on share on my GTP_CargoRat account if anybody needs to use it. The othe GT Academy car is also shared if you want to try it out also.

I´m sure the race wasn´t won by 10secs only with FC Suspension on CM tyres.
If so , I´d like to see that.

.

Obviously I used sports tires, why would anyone use comforts when sports are allowed?

When I first tried the race I didn't realize that sport mediums were allowed so it took me 3 attempts to figure out why I couldn't get 1st :dunce:

Because you said:

"the ONLY thing I put on the car was the fully customizable suspension"

The problem lies in the word "ONLY".So someone could think you did it with Comfort Medium tyres. ;)

I used comfort tires because sport tires weren't required.

Tuning is allowed but I also didn't tune my car. I used my car untuned because tuning wasn't required.

To use a tuned car with sport tires in this event would have made it uninteresting.

I did have to resort to comfort softs but I certainly gave it a couple of tries on comfort mediums.

I also did the TT with comfort medium tires and no tuning. My time will not impress but I got gold "the hard way". To me this made it worth doing.

With Leaf TT at Eifel, even with comfort medium and no tuning and default weight, 1:18.xxx range is possible, a fast driver might even do high 1:17.

Yes, only comfort medium allowed, but most people fitted full custom suspension and reduced the weight - stage 3 - shaving off a lot of weight to get really fast time. I tried to find the limit of a completely stock Leaf, managed 1:18.5xx so far.

I guess you can win the race with CM tyres , if you can tune out the understeer a bit with a FC Suspension only.

btw I found a difference in the settings of the default Suspension. The ride height of the default shows 0/0 , in the settings sheet it shows a -20/0

Nice tune, krenkme.... few tweeks here and there bumped me up to a current 6'th @ Eiffel TT :)

Given the choice between suspension and tires I opted for tires. That seems more stock to me.
