I got a 1:16.423 using your tune to put me in 10th and I bumped the previous 10th place guy out by 0.001 seconds . I left out time in the 1st and last sectors so hopefully I can see a top 5 soon!

These events were pretty easy for me. The only trouble I had was when I tried to overtake the AI on Autumn Ring Min, they'd slow down nearly avoiding them. Ran the two races stock (Autumn Ring with Sports Hards), got first and gold trophy on my first try each, so they're not that difficult.

I'm not the best (placing only in the top 1000 in the final round of GT Academy), so if I can do it, anyone can.

Hi, thanks for posting your tune. I managed to get to 56th using it with a DS3 and a time of 1:16.707 which will hopefully be knocked down to a .5 once I learn how to take that last corner properly. 👍

Well after trying Krenkme's tune and compairing it with mine i mixed the two up and had these resaults at Autumn Ring 3:44 total with a :43.8 sec time taking the lead on lap 3
heres the setup

Right height -20/-24
7.0/5.0
6/8 Ext
3/8 Comp
3/4 RB's
camber 2.2/0.0
toe -.20/-.12
brakes where at 10/8

Finishing in the top 1000 places you somewhere in the top 1% of racers and hardly an indication that what you can do anyone can do.

I suspect that there are lots of players that struggle to get gold in these two events just as there were lots of players who couldn't get gold in the final of the GTA.

This is not directed at you personally but their is an attitude on this forum to make it seem trivial to accomplish these races which is really disrespectful to a lot of people who don't find it all that easy but wont say anything.

Has anyone read the BLURB for the race in the seasonal area...

Usually it explains what power levesl car and tyres you are limited with. And that you win a special prize if you get Bronze or better...

I'll let you read for yourself... But I guess that there is a bit more to go for in this that just a gold pass and a snappy Divide by Zero ticket.

I looked at the rankings but someone has got a Manual car ... which confused me.

To use a tuned car with sport tires in this event would have made it uninteresting.

I also did the TT with comfort medium tires and no tuning. My time will not impress but I got gold "the hard way". To me this made it worth doing.

I got the gold the easy way because I just want the money, I race online for fun and a real challenge.

Thanks for posting this. I ran the Autumn Ring race last night on CS tires and had a blast! CS tires were just right for my skill level. CM tires, I didn't have the patience or skill and Sports tires were too easy. Only tuning was BB. Otherwise all stock setup.

Drove like in a GTA event and with no initiated contact with AI and 2 wheels on track. Wasn't that easy for me! Several times I had a tire off or barely tapped a car and started over....and over. Have to say I was thrilled to get a completely clean run barely squeeking by the lead car by .1xx. Saved that replay!

I'm looking forward to the upcoming GTA based events. Like any offline event, it's as hard as you make it.

In my experience, UCD updates with seasonal races, but not with the time trial. If anybody else knows, please confirm this, thanks.

It did for me. I believe race days are connected to the challenge race but not time trials. As long as the car is not extremely rare, the car is at the top of the UCD, then you should have the car available for about 5 race days.

The Leaf Time Trial does NOT change the UCD!
The race however does.

No offense, but I don't see anyone pointing fingers... and certainly not stupidstormy36... on the contrary.
We all have different basic skills and talents, giving you a potential to achieve or accomplish something to a certian level....some better than others...nothing wrong with that, right?!
Btw, I bet a lot of people here speaks better english than I do 💡 ... but I guess I can live with that

Heck, I struggled to get into the top 2500. And I *really* struggled to get the gold on GT Academy event 8/5. I will never be one of the "leet" GT5ers, and I'm okay with that.

I was simply answering your question. You asked why would "anyone" use comfort tires when sports were allowed. I'm "anyone" so I answered.

I did it the way I did it for reasons that suit me. You did it the way you did it for reasons that suit you. Some people tune their cars to the nth degree and try for a top time. There is no right or wrong.

thanks for your tune. im now down to 1:17.1 on the TT which put me on he leaderboard i never aim for top ten. but always try and get on the leaderboard on the game

I started with the race and really struggled. Could only manage 8th place, so came here for some tips, did the weight reduction and tried Krenkme's tune. Still only 4th place. Only then did I realise I was on CM tyres. This having read the thread and seen that at least three other folks had made the same mistake. I'm such an idiot. Anyway with SM tyres I won the race easily despite driving really badly and when it came to the TT, having had loads of practice on CMs, I did just under 1:18.5 for a top 2000 place, which is pretty good for me.

I'm confused... so the GT Academy event, which ends today, and was only up a week, requires a car that you could only get from some previous Academy event that did not exist for me? I realize I didn't log in since this new event was created on the 12th, but when did the previous Academy event show up? I certainly haven't been logged out for two weeks. Is this a US only-thing (me being in Canada)?

Is there now absolutely no way to get these car(s)?

I realize people are loaning them, but that's besides the point...

Just wondering if us non-US citizens got hosed (as we did with the very first round of GT Academy last year).

Lol, this happens to me all the time in the regular GT TT's. I tune a car, put it on share, then everyone proceeds to beat me with it. The nerve of people, lol. Seriously tho, its a great feeling just to be able to help people so I really don't mind.

You didn't get ''hosed'' you hoser! LOL! We were allowed to participate in the online academy races, just not eligible to move on to the real world races. At this point though, your only option is to borrow the cars for the special seasonals.

yep! I won all the cars. Only problem is, I want to keep them in ''green ticket'' form (i'm a collecting nut), so, as I was too dumb to race on multiple accounts...I have to borrow them to do the seasonals!
