GT Academy problems

hey

not played GT academy for a few days

but when i tryed today..it just keeps failing at uploading my times
and sometimes it just craches trying to load certain screens..my net is fine on everything else

is anyone else have problems?

I have other problem, when i cross the finish line the screen freezes for half a second and adds around 0.030 to my time. Today I saved my best lap replay on 4-4 (22.190) and been 2 times infront of him but the time turns up slower :/

Guessing it's do to the maintenance that is occurring on the PSN today... I wouldn't try at all today, give it a go tomorrow so it doesn't frustrate you too badly.

Man I been seeing that same thing.. i glance at my time right when I cross the line, then the screen trophy screen loads and it seems my time is .030 more. But I figure it happens to everyone so its not really a disadvantage. Maybe im wrong.


Also I just tried to play and I could not get a connection to the server. Must be some maintenance today? I havent check into it yet

Check with Sony in regards to inability to access online features - scheduled maint going on today, it's on their website.

This happens to me too, but I figured it was just the way it works. I think it is, but I've never been ahead of my ghost and then posted a slower time.

Yes I know it is, but i crossed finish line in 22.166. Like I said before,after that I have been 2 times faster then that same ghost and got like 22.225-22.230. I really think there is some bug or time delay, dont know the reason (maybe adsl speed). Seen people saying that you think you're in front of ghost but you actually aren't, that isnt possible cause I drive with chase cam and clearly see I'm in front. In such close times 0.030 means alot.

Ivann, we need to see some irrefutable evidence, a picture of the the ghost clearly behind you from as many angle's as possible, if this is true then i'm sure we can lobby support.

I've had many occasions where I believed i was in front of the ghost but clearly from my map view I was just shy of being in front.

The small freeze after crossing the line has been there since the GT5 Time Trial Demo (2009).

GT5 has done it with pratice laps on any track. Not anything new, but the PSN maitainace is over, so all should be good.

Have you tried clearing the cache from the options menu in game? That might help.

I just went to try rounds 5 & 6.
It was taking 2-3 minutes to register my time, when I got to 6-3 it took over 5 minutes so I just turned off the ps3. Was just frustrating me.

Will try clear the cache next time

I guess I kind of blamed the game, more than likely its a combination of my terrible router and poor connection. 200yr old house with old phone lines and theres no sign of a nice broadband wire coming up the road anytime soon.

yeah same today, round 5 round 1 did a 14.141. ok its not the best but for me it is and guess what it never loaded me time
