GT-Motion
I am organizing a Rally competition for GT Academy drivers in the off weeks, anyone who wants to be involved please let me know.

The way it will work is we pick stages, and a recommended Rally car. We will do a free run where everyone is allowed on the track to practice the course, then I will change the damage to heavy, once that is done it will bring everyone off the track. Then I will call drivers one by one to enter the track. The first driver to enter the track will start a 1 lap race alone, run the race from start to finish that the time will be record. Then the next person will do the same thing. We do it this way to hold the integrity of the competition, instead of an honor system, also it is great fun to run a rally knowing your peers are watching your run, its very motivating.

With about 10 drivers each stage will take 20-30 mins

There will be three stages and the combined time for all three stages is your final time. We can do all three stages in one night, or spread it out to one stage per night. It all depends on the schedules of those who sign up.

Since this is the first time doing this, I am asking for 7 people only, or I may ask to borrow Stig's lobby to test this out. If it goes smooth we can bump the next one to 16. I need people who will cooperate and play by the rules, anyone who does otherwise will be asked to leave the group.

First one will be tonight around 8:30pm EST.

Respond here if you are interested.

**This is for people who are ready for competitive rally**

**This is not for people who have ADD, most of your time will be spent watching others run their stage until its your turn to run the stage**

That sounds great I'm far better at rally than regular racing. That said can't make it tonight but maybe next time.

No problem, I may just join Stig's lobby tonight and ask him if I could hijack it for 30 mins to test out the format.

really looking forward to tomorrow though. I had a blast last night racing just a little more bumping and banging then i expected. Actually alot more.

I'll check back tonight if I can find the time. Hopefully there will still be a spot open.

Feel free to jack my lobby to test the format :D We've done a bit of rallying before and it's been pretty fun.

You going to have that lobby open tonight? I have my notifications turned off on my PS3 so I don't usually see your invites until it's too late.

Tonight is just going to be a test run. So whoever is in my lobby tonight we will test the format out and see how smooth it goes.

Hopefully you're running this tomorrow. I'm getting ready to head off to work soon. But I love the idea. Post some results up here if you can later on.

We had a very successful test run of the format and it worked perfectly. We only did two stages this time, and a couple people got there late, but the format worked well. When we had 13 people though it stated taking too long, so 10 people max will be good.

I will open my lobby tomorrow night around 8:30EST, once we get 10 people in we will start. Add me on PSN if you want to join in GT-Motion

And I also suck at Rally on GT. :D

It would appear you aren't TOO shabby eh? :) I want to get in on this, just got done with my scheduled poker tournaments for the week and ready to play ! I'll be trying to get in on the next one for sure !

That was awesome last night! Interestingly enough, watching others go was just as fun as doing your run.

For the record, I was using a DS3. Don't want people to think I stink at Rallying. Not great, but not THAT bad.

I might be in a little late for tonight. Considering how short these runs are, I might even be able to use the wheel. :)

Nobody thinks that, since we all get one chance to record a time, anything can happen. One corner overshot and you lose about 2-3 seconds. It makes for a great competition though because with multiple stages it keeps everyone in contention. 👍

Count me in tonight for the shaningans. Ill make sure to be the co pilot over the mic or tv of the driver.

Needs more rallified stagea !

This sounds like good fun! I'm on evening shift this week but can probably make it next week if theirs any openings available. PSN: F1_DRAGON_USA

I agree. What I'm learning using a DS3 is that I can often match or even exceed what I can do with a wheel but if I don't do it exactly right, I go way over the limit and get out of shape. It would take weeks of practice to be more consistent with a DS3 but I don't intend to since I'm only doing this temporarily. That, and it's taken some abuse from the days I used to play Warhawk.

Any word on whether you're gonna try for a second round tonight Motion?
