GT Academy???

Ok, fired up the ol' PS3 before work this morning and downloaded the nice (608MB) update... Love the new features, but supposedly Round 1 for GT Academy was to start at 12:00 EST on 12/20/2010 (I guess that could mean tonight). Just in case the email notifacation is as buggy as it was for registration, did anyone recieve any notice / code / info about anything?

Furthermore, if anyone does find out anything, please update this thread so that I can stay in the loop whilst at work. (As if I don't already spend enough time with GT5 at home...)

It's up now on the "seasonal events"...it showed up at noon (12:00pm EST), while I was refreshing the page...

Event is up and ready to go under seasonal events... Looks like 2 versions of the Z34 with comfort tires (370z and the Skyline 370GT) and the tuned 370z from the 2010 time trial.... Glad I've been running a lot of races at Cape Ring! Kind of surprised to see its one of the tracks.

Maybe, if you're going to be at your PS3 "soon." I am not; "soon" I am going to be at my parents' house for the holidays, which is in a different region than I live/am registered in. I leave tomorrow. I was hoping to be able to get a taste so that while I'm home, I can practice on the same car and track on my friend's system.

Ditto... Not leaving for the holidays, but work definitely picks up... I have faith everything is going to launch well, just want to get in some real good practice runs while I have the chance.

Luckily there is plenty of time to get a hot lap for round 1... Goes until January 23, 2001 if I remember correctly.

It was up on mine, then I backed out to look at a car in my garage and went back to Seasonal Events and now it's gone. Anyone else have this happen?
