GT Cup Broken

Is this championship broken or am I doing it wrong? My GT500 Supra runs out of fuel so I need to refuel twice and yet the AI only need to fill up once rendering this race impossible for me. Is the game broken or does the G500 Supra burn fuel quicker than other cars?

Have you tried adjusting your fuel map so you run a more efficient mix?

actually I just tried it in a GR3 Mazda instead and was a lot better! a shame the AI sucks and rammed me off the track though
