Hey everyboby,

Must say I have played GT2 with my buddies on the PS1(didn't own it). I bought the PS2 and love it,  picked up GT3 up on the day of the release. The game is GREAT, love the rally portion!!!!

Since I am new to the simulation mode can anyone offer some good tips... how to get more tracks, cars, money etc...

Thanks

Dave

Here is a priceless tip.  Sell your PS2 and your copy of GT3 to some poor blind child and give the money to your local shrine temple.  Then strip naked and run through the streets singing your favorite Motley Crue song in latin.

Hey DNA, basically you start out with only 18 grand, so you need to get a somewhat fast car, but light. I got the VW beetle it works ok,  and basically all you have to do is do the sunday cup for a while until you get enough money to put some stuff on the car, and then go to the clubman cup and do the same thing, and then i'm going to go to the beetle cup, and race there, first prize is 5 grand, so pretty much the simplist tip is to just keep doing all the same tracks over and over again.  Keep on winning man

The person above me says to take the Beetle to the Beetle Cup for the $5000 purse. I will say the NA only race is MUCH easier to place first in.

Keep that in mind if you want to rack up money earlier.

If you complete all of the beginner license tests with gold, you're rewarded with a miata. This way you can spend the 18,000 on hopping up the miata instead of buying a car in stock form.

Same goes for the all of the other levels of licenses. If you get gold, you get a car.

Instead of starting with the beetle maybe u should start with the pt cruiser it's a good starter car!  Then for your second car the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI is a really nice car.   There are two variations the RSI and the GSR the RSI is cheaper and a good choice.  After you are done suping it up you should be able to win the Turbo Test track to win some nice cash.  How u use that cash is up to u.  I saved up for a RUF CTR2, it's a damn sweet car! However it costs $385,700.  The Evolution VI should do u well though.

For the beginner you must started the Sprinter Trueno only cost 13000 i guess and boost the turbo stage i will bet you will win the sunday cup and if you know how to turn.

The Sprinter is a fairly good car and yes it is cheap.  The pt cruiser has excellent handling and the best hp in a car that u can afford. But u hafta be willing to shell out the $17,500.  Either the Sprinter or the pt. are excellent choices to start.  Sure the Sprinter looks like **** but it's good to start.
