I want you to bring the Commodore or Manaro to any tarmac track, get it close to rumble strips or drift it around a corner.
THE KEY THOUGH: I want to get the feel that you just barely made the corner or bend.

I'd also like to add that I just noticed how badly my road noise is off


Also, what is the standard convention if I am displeased with all the shots (yes, including my own >_>)? Would I vote for the "lesser of the evils" or just not vote?

Again, sorry for double posting, but this board is moving really quickly and I'd like to see a few more votes before the close.

Swiss, are you going to vote or just leave it and go to a tie breaker? I did vote for what I believe to be yours (the great cleanup convinced me.)

I don't know if I will, I'm not really a fan of any of them.
Even my own.
I don't like the noise in the first one, and it's too dark for me. The second is pretty good. Good action but it seems that the road blur is just a bit off for me. And the last one, well...it's too small to tell. And I just think mines boring...
I will think about it for a few minutes...

Looks like you used motion blur. I think the composition called for radial blur.

Naw, it's just a few degrees off. I'd fix it, but I really have nothing to gain by doing so. That's just exiting the last esses on Midfield, so it's essentially a straight.

For the record, how would I do a low angle radial blur like you suggested?

a lot can happen in a couple days man.
That shot should have radial blur because the rumble strips and the wall will intersect at the vanishing point.
To achieve that radial blur for this particular shot, and since the vanishing point isn't actually in the shot, you will have to add to the canvas in photoshop. Then just play around with the blur till it lines up. 👍

That'd have to be a pretty big ass canvas to pull it off...

And if you had a pc as slow as mine, each try on the blur to get it right, with a canvas that big, would take you around 10 minutes.
Cool if you get it right on the 2nd try or so, nightmare if you keep screwing it up.

I really do love the tension of this, no matter what happens. The excitement is great.

You will probably take this one man! That radial blur will take longer the further out the vanishing point is from the actual pic. But you can adjust the canvas accordingly so it shouldn't be too long of a wait.

Thanks for your kind words, though there were quite a lot of people around (even before my time) that far surpassed me or anything I've done around here.

I'll try to make a few new shots with the material I have stored. My PS3 doesn't play PS2 games, so no GT4 for me for quite a while now.
