This week’s theme will be
"Street Racing"
as chosen by Week 86 Winner LdS.

Further explanation of theme:

In the words of LdS:
I want to see and feel the vibe of Street Racing, of one genre battling each other. (tuning vs tuning, race car vs race car, exotic vs exotic)


Cars: Tuning, Touring, Race (all except Le Mans), Exotic, Muscle and Sport Cars.
Tracks: city tracks only
Phototravel: No.

You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image.

I´m making experiences in PS, as will you see in my next updates around here (of course not in PMC comps). I´m mixing tools with others (that not break 2.0 rules of course)...so this is like a "test" shot of my new "skills" in PS. Hope its good... ​

Just a tip for people not experienced in Photoshop: Take a “perfect” PMC Style (like those with lots of blur with the car very sharp you see in the PMC Comp.) shot, and just do simple enhancements (like levels and colours). Don’t overdo it.

Sorry alex, the shot must have more than one car.

I think you need more brightness and you'd have an insanely good shot. 👍
But you went on the darker side to show of the headlights of the cars right? Great job bro!

Yeah. I went for more of a dusk to night street racing theme. That's why when I first read the theme my mind went straight to Honda. I really got inspired today and I'm going to update my gallery soon with more shots I did today. Thanks.

This sucks. I had some crazy good shots to edit and see what I could do with, and my monitor got put on the front (IE: set on it's screen) and the colours are totally screwed. CANNOT edit a photo where saturation/contrast/colouring is an issue like this (where red is purple, blue is green, and everything is everything else.)

I had a bit of a play on Pixia Today. I'd never used it to do more than resize photos before, so I read a few of the photomode/photoshop tutorials (thanks to everyone who helped with those) and tried some things just to see how it turned out. There's still a few things in the picture I'm not totaly happy about so I might try again in a few days and see if I can do better...

well, the other cars do....i don't know, I thought the roof automatically went up come race time.

Well....... I always thought that was the case as well. I'm not sure if that was a glitch or maybe he PS'ed the cars into the shots or what, but whatever it is it does look quite different and unique. 👍

Yep, unique angles are quite rare nowadays. If you could get one of the photoshop gods around here to clean up the rough edges, blur etc. you would have an awesome shot. 👍

Swiss, can the deadline be extended.
Normally the competitions run for one week and a phew more days, and with the starting date of this threat plus deadline it’s only 5 days, very little for a 2.0 competition. Maybe making it end in the 2nd or 3rd November (7/8 days (one week))

I've been swamped with ebay stuff lately of all things. I meant to close wk87 on the 25th.
I will leave it open longer too. The 3rd of Nov. it is!
