In the words of alexwrc:
"Renault is in trouble. The car sales are not good lately, and the marketing department is looking for a solution.

Ok, not to worry. They're going to hire a guy from the GTP's photomode scene for the first strategy. It's not clear if that will fix the problem, or will leave them in bankrupt.

They need a powerful photo to make a graphic advertising of Renault Sport, that will be published in european magazines. You have a week to take that photo and enhance the sporty image of the brand.

Franz, who is very generous, will finish the ad, so you don't have to do anything else than the photo."​

Ya know, LdS shot is pretty damn close to being as good as Brams. If it wasn't quite as sharp as it was. A few too many jaggies from oversharpening. But man you impress me LdS.

That makes me quite happy what you said. I know I had it in me to clean the car up more (much like my S7 a few weeks ago), but I had NO idea how to do the wheels so I blurred them and then shots from GT5P came to mind and I mearly copied what I rmembered..and did quite alot of dodging.
I know where you are coming from with how the car blends in...but trust me - it was WAY worse when I started - no shadow and a few white bits (I forgot to make the car layer transparent when I anchored the car cut out (duhh))
Thanks for the feedback...I hope this is the way I'm going when I get PS...but that'll be 3/4 of a year or so (when I go to Uni).

ps.. as for an advert when I was playing around, I put a the French colours where the sky was and I turned out alright

, what a surprise, I came here, and well, I was with the eye on Bram’s entry, and voted for it, and, my surprise to my shot with so many votes? WTF? I am not complaining, but it is strange. Thanks for the votes btw, but I am expecting a more close poll (like the last poll) 👍

What happens with the poll? I thought Bram would dominate quickly. I am not saying LDS' entry is not deserved the win. He did a very nice job too. Moglet and Swiss entries are great as well.

Oh well, the poll isn't closed yet, so I'm keeping up my hopes :tup:

It was a tough decision for me between Moglet and Swiss, and I'm very surprised that either of them have not recieved more votes than they have now. Both of them did a terrific job 👍

In the end, I went with Swiss' Avantime. The car doesn't really suit the theme as you're not going to place an advert of your racing history and soul with an Avantime but the car was well reworked, the colors were just right and the blur was soft, yet crisp and smooth 👍

The thing that held me off of Moglet's image was the background, as I said in the original thread, the 2D ackground kinds of spoils the whole thing

Lds' entry was nice work, but the contrast levels were too high for me, and the car itself looked edgy in spots and the reflections overall a little blodgy. The road blur was nice though, but it ended a little too abruptly into the un-blurred background. But it looks like I'm wrong though, as Lds is leading right now. Nice job on the poll buddy 👍

I've to second the Franz comment. The Bram's Clio is very nicely executed, and the final product looks very well.

I've been messig arround with the Swiss's Avantime, and I think it has an interesting potential. Those colors and reflections can stand out even more, it's a great combination 👍

Honda has been doing it for years now.

I voted LdS at the very last second, purely because of his composition. the car looks like it's going a bajillion miles an hour, and with no one behind him, it looks like the Renault has truly left it's competitors far behind.

80Y still gets massive props. I just noticed LdS' entry a little more when i looked at em both man. I don't mean to step on any toes.

Bram: Sorry I didn't vote for you. LdS just kinda stuck out when I looked over things. I knwo you worked hard on it, and it's a quality shot. a really high quality shot. If it's any consolation, I have it on my Ipod, haha.

hey...it's fine. I wasn't hoping to get any votes after Bram's and LDS's....and I was only suprised when it got such a good reception. But then I went back to Bram's entry and saw it, and all the comments, and thought it unlikely that mine is on par with his.

First off, I'm glad the poll is as close as it (at least right now 10-9 in favor of Bram)It's much more epic now that LdS has challenged Bram.

Thanks for your vote buddy. I remember the car being very...well, I shouldn't say sporty. But the ad I was picturing was "A night out on the town" in your Avantime. The really long doors that hinged twice to allow parking in small spaces was just brilliant. Along with the fact that when all the windows were down and the moonroof open, it felt as if you were outside. It was just ahead of its time that's all.
But my oh my it's ugly. I might go as far as saying fugly.
