GT PSP Racing League

Welcome.

It seems every Gran Turismo game has had some kind of "group" or "clan" of racers. Now, even though GT PSP does not have online racing, there still are great possibilities for a Racing League built around it.

-Time Trial Challenge (Post a screenshot of your time on a specific track)
-Meet in group (Thats a questionable tactic)
-Adhoc Party Online Racing (If SCEA ever releases Adhoc Party, we can race each other online)

So how exactly would the first Time Trial challenge work? Well I would specify a specific track, and the class of car, then we would compete by uploading a screenshot of our time. We could have a top ten list.

Anyone else like this idea? :)

Count me in. Ad hoc party works now. No need to wait till us version. I have Ad hoc party and it works well with every game I've tried. GT should be cool om it as well. Time trials sounds good also.

Not sure how to set this up, could you please help me with this?

Ok here is what I did. I typed in ad hoc in google and you tube. They all have instructions and tell you how to creat a Japanese account. You can search how to create a Japanese account also. Please search first and ask for specific questions. You'll do fine.

Awesome. Thanks for the help.👍

Has anyone yet researched the 'Ad-Hoc Party'-beta utility from the Japanese PlayStation Store? It allows gamers with a PS3 to race online against other PSP(and PS3 to use the software) users using Ad-Hoc multiplayer types :)

I presume the lap will have to clean to WRS standards? How does a screenshot prove it was?

Since GT PSP does not have "too advanced" tuning options, it's not like someone can make a Honda Fit run at 300 MPH. But small amounts of "Quick Tuning" are allowed.

Screenshots will have to be taken in a specific fashion:

"You MUST take three shots. Each one from a different angle of the screen. And if the photo appears to be photo-edited, you will be disqualified."

I think daan was more talking about no shortcuts , 3 wheels on track all the time, rumble strips allowed etc. kind of clean

There Is an option to save your replays and watch them in the replay museum, i guess if you use your digital camera and uploaded the video of your best time to youtube for example, that would take care of it :) screenshots won't tell you much . .

Cutting corners is fine with me.

EDIT: And video is fine, but only the time is needed.

Not a very good standard of competition then?

You should have some level of rules beyond x car on y track, there's no skill in wall riding and corner cutting. The skill is in using the best lines at the best speeds.

Not sure if I'm open to entering a league ran by someone who just admitted to cutting corners(literally). However if you want a good idea for league setups look here, there are several series' that have different set-ups.

Maybe you should let someone who has some experience with organizing events do this. Besides, you can always save your replay and upload it, so there's no need for pictures.
