Hi Guys!

After seeing some videos of GT Sport I came to the conclusion that I have to buy the game eheh.

It turns out that I have a steering wheel, the G27, but as it is known, it is not compatible with PS4.

I will buy the G29 to use on PS4 but I have a fairly simple question, I think.

Does the G27 shifter work perfectly on the G29, more specifically on the GT sport?

Thank you!

You actually have a few options from cheapest and most recommended to most expensive and least recommended.

Get a DriveHub - This converter will have your G27 appear as a G29 to your ps4.
EDIT - Or a CronusMax Plus as GTP_Remo suggests below.

Get the G29 and use your G27 shifter - Yes it will work many use it, but the buttons won't just the shifter. ( I don't think the buttons on the shifter will work with the DriveHub either as it appears as a G29)

Sell it all and get a different wheel & pedal setup -

So what's best? DriveHub or CronusMax Plus? Do you know if they ship to portugal?

The FFB and the feeling are the same with the converter in comparison with a fully suported PS4 wheel?

I used a Cronus on a g25. Also own a g29. There’s no difference other than the actual differences in the wheels. G25 is fully functional and all buttons work.

I went with the CronusMax instead of Drive Hub for it's other uses, like scripting custom button functions for other games.

FFB should be no different, feels fine to me.

No idea as to where they are available.

I do not know the answer to those questions - all I know is the DriveHub is newer and has more support, but likely costs 2-3 times as much.

Sooo my DriveHub arrived today, and I set it up on the PS4 and on the game, works perfect but the FFB feels strange, IDK if its because im too accustomed to play with the G27 on automobilista (PC)...
The "problem" on GT sport its that i cant feel the curbs, there is no vibration at all... The road sensivity doesnt feel on the steering...

What's your sensitivity and torque set at in game?

I think the FFB in GT Sport could be way better, that being said I can feel what you say you can't.

I run G27 with CronusMax plus.

Force:5
Sensivity: 8

I tried different values before...

For example, i feel really low the curbs and doesnt feel at all the road, the steering its just heavy... All the sensivity isnt good at all...

Edit: i have updated the device before i started it all

I use a G27 with a CronusMax, and tbh GTS' FFB isn't much to write home about to begin with. It's first and foremost steering weight, and rumble over kerbs. Road surfaces in GTS are pretty much flat, and the tyre model is non-existant, nothing to feel anyway on that front. My wheel is reduced to a fancy controller in GTS. Granted, I have more precise steering input, and break/throttle control, but GTS' FFB won't help you actually control a car.
You want to set Torque/Force as low as possible. A force of 5+ is too high for the non-linear behavior of helical geared wheels like G27/29. It will clip most signals. Try 7/2/7 or 7/4/5ish.

That said, I actually use my DS4 again now, saves a lot of space, not to mention the fact that a CronusMax'ed PS4 loses a lot of its usability, a collateral not worth it when the benefit is negligible.

Please elaborate. I see no lose of usability.

Well, for starters you cannot use your DS4 anymore while the CM+ is in wheel mode, or the PS4 will disconnect it. While the shifter might double as a DS4 to navigate menues, it's more of an annoyance. You cannot start your PS4 through the CronusMax, and you lose the analogue sticks which are kinda crucial in GTS (liveries, photos), and PC2 (HUD). The CM+ or Drivehub are perfectly fine as a quick and dirty way to make non-compatible controllers work. It's just that I expect more "polish" when using a console.

You can use a different DS4 and not mess up the CronusMax DS4. I do it every time Im making a livery.

Edit: while not everyone has two DS4, for me it was a non-issue. My son has one , my daughter has one, my wife has one, I have one. Mine is now the CronusMax DS4 lol.

+1 for the Drivehub. Bought this recently after much procrastination and I'm very pleased with the result. Not only does it allow me to save money and utilize my G27 on my PS4 without the aid of a PC passthrough (like I previously had to do with my GIMX adapter) but I can also use this on my Xbox One S and I believe Xbox 360. Definately worth the money when you compare it to the cost of a new wheel which will still only limit you to PS3/PS4.
