This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:
This article was published by Jordan Greer (@Jordan) on February 14th, 2020 in the Gran Turismo Sport category.
the average speed in GT Sport is 84.2mph
and we can blame @sturk0167 for the other halfImpressive numbers but @Sven Jurgens is responsible for at least half of that.
Player numbers for this game are pretty relevant to how much funding there is for the next game, and the game after that.No relevant news lately.
The presentation didn't cover that (so the next article also won't), but I understand there's at least one thing....So I guess the only surprise coming out of this weekend is whatever is in the second Nations race?
False estimate.
This data is a bit old from mid 2019.
GTS actually has 9,481,623 users as of Feb 13, 2020 like showed in gran-turismo.com.
False estimate.
I did extract all the profiles in gran-turismo.com and there are these:
Feb 13, 2020
GTS 9,481,623
Beta only 569,362
Total 10,050,985
These are final accounts in gran-turismo.com where all data come.Hey Etho!
Are these accounts or actual users? The article does mention over 9 million accounts.

I will do a new extraction to update my data to check if there is more suspended accounts:
These are all data I have today.
Status 1/GTS: 9481623
Status 2/Beta: 569362
Status 254(?): 1
Status 255(?): 1
No status/profile: 30504
I believe suspended accounts/profiles are code 254 or 255 but I have one of each today... maybe my extraction is too old from before they start to suspend it.
So I will update them.
I can't because that data come from the Job 3 or 12 in GTS API... I'm using only Job 1 to extract that gives me: id, status, number, country andCan you also count how many sport mode races have been done in total? I assume that nearly a Billion races figure includes all other races. It would be interesting to see what percentage of races happens in sport mode.
