Great car.... horrible track... i hate Eiger with a passion, whether it's forward or reverse.

Don't get too excited about P1 Mad..... thats reserved for Spyrrari!!!:sly:

Yeah, I know. He is a quick driver. Just noticed i'm ahead of him:D. (not for long though).

I think I may have a little bit more speed left in it, but it's gonna be hard to go faster than a 1'18.598.

well, managed to beat your time ,only to discover Holl01 gave this one a shot....:ouch:...
he must have been bored with the other timetrail championship...:sly:...lol.

Hehe, It's not that spyrrari, its more the fact that i haden't checked the gt5p race events thread in around 4 weeks, as soon as i saw race 8 combo, i thought brilliant, easy car, nice track, lets give it a go!

Reasonably happy with the lap time although i may have lost some time on the last corner, didn't practice that one much.

Cheers chris on a great combo and my appoligies for abandoning this competition for so many weeks, the IFTC took up most of my gt5p playing time, merry christmas to all:)

Nice time holl01 and Spyrrari, don't think i'll be able to beat either of those two times. Well done:tup:

thought so...
yeah that last corner can be taken in many different lines,i whas having a (for me)superlap only to take the wrong line though it in my last lap i did...:ouch:...will see later this week if i have time to have one more go at this TT...👍

Just had a go at this for an hour and a half and improved by a little bit. I lose all my time at the second corner. I don't know how spyrrari and holl01 get around their so fast.

Those two are on another level to us mere mortals...... thats a hell of a lap though Mad, to get that close around a tricky circuit.

As for me...... managed to chip nearly half a second away tonight, but that's all i can do i feel as i just want to vomit every time i venture out onto Eiger or London. I just don't feel comfortable out there.

great lap Holl01...i lost it in the middle section there...:ouch:
but enough "asphalt edge" riding for me now...:sly:

👍

Thanx:) I reckon with an appropriately nailed lap a 1'17.9xx is possible, amazingly, but i'm happy to get a 1'18.131 as the lap that i'll submit. haha i know what u mean by the ashphalt edge, its ridiculous how much time you can gain just by getting that 'lucky ride'

excactly ....thats why i dont like eiger ...being fast there is one thing, doing the ......is something else...
anyway,i even whas ahead of you going out of the tunnel....so the 1'17.xxx is surely possible...
but really mate,i do this for fun...not for riding the edges of "luckyness" ..........

maybe,if i have some time during these christmasdays i will have one more attempt, but i think this wont be possible ............👍

I'll give this one last crack tomorrow to hopefully improve my time. But I doubt i'll get quicker than holl01 and spyrrari.

Ok, I watched your lap of 1'18.2xx and I was very impressed to say the least, keep up the good work mate:) (ur T1 was astonishing:crazy:)

But as you mentioned, you did loose the plot towards the end, as I often do when on a super hot lap at eiger reverse:tup:

I just gave this one a try and after racing against the holl01's and spyrarri's ghosts I noticed the two of you go on the banked sandy edge on the 2nd turn after crossing the start line. I wouldnt think it offered an unfair advantage if it was a flat edge, but seeing how it's at an angle and is technically not part of the road I would think GTP rules would be against it.

In my opinion, being allowed to ride that sandy slope takes away the challenge from that blind corner as you dont have to turn in quickly since the slope saves you if you start skidding off. I was able to take the corner at the same speed you two did without riding the sand but unfortunately I cant keep up in the last two U-turns of the track so I gave up.

This is just a friendly competition, so I dont care if you acknoledge my concern or not since its just about having fun. I just felt like letting my opinion be known.

BTW, nice edge riding you did Holl01. Following your ghost felt like an Initial D episode :D

well rules state 2 wheels HAVE to be on track at all times.

>.> If I thought they were violating a rule I would have stated it. All I said was that that one run off area has a slope to it, so even by riding it on two wheels (which is all you need anyways) you get to stay on track even if you're sliding off. That scenario would not happen if the sand there was flat.

I dont think it's dirty, I just think there's a better way to take that turn instead of relying on the mountain to keep you on track.

Pickle mate, this particular corner needs something special to take it as fast as possible....if you want to have the best speed out of this corner ,you want to make the corner as straight as possible....in other words, the less you have to turn in the less speed you loose....
so,in acheeving this you have to aim at the apax as much as possible without touching the fence and -most importandly-get the car out of balance to get on the throttle a.s.a.p. in the middle of the corner....this is in NO MEENS out of bounds of the rules because neither of us are riding with more than 2 wheels off track(as chris alraidy said^^)...its just the fastest way thru this particular corner.....
so,its not the mountain that keeps you on track, its the turn in!! of the corner thats the key to taking the best speed thru it...
mate, sometimes there is a line thru a corner that doesn't feel right, but its just faster than what your initial -gut- feeling tells you to do....trust me,i have driven many cars on tracks in real life, and i whas completaly surprised in how sometimes you have to do something with a car in a fast corner to have the car do what you whant it to do....(being faster than you think possible...)....

hopes this will help you change your mind about whats fast and whats not mate...its sometimes not so obvious as you would imagine...:sly:

marry christmas everybody...:)

thanks mate, have to tell you that as a 35 year old married man with kidds and all...its not easy to get some quality time to do this....there is allways something happeneing in tha house thats brakes my concentration...:ouch:

i be lucky to get 2 hours at most per week to do this(and the IFTC championship combined)to get a superlap in....so i think i am not doing that bad overall....:sly:

wish i whas 25 years old again without any worries on my mind....hahaha...but hey, having a beautifull family is maybe even more satisfieing....:sly:...
