GT2 Problem

I just purchased a used copy of gt2 and when i am at the menus the pointer keeps going to the far left of the screen. Anyone else have this issue before? It has been so long since I originally played this game that I dont remember if this was a common problem or not.

It's probably just a problem with your controller. Unplug it and then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, buy another controller.

I am using a fatboy ps3, although I have never had this issue with any other ps1/2 games.

The pointer in GT/Simulation Mode? Sorry, it is not a mouse cursor like a computer. There's a limit for it. 💡

it seems to be just in the menus, i have been able to fight it into doing the license tests and the driving aspect was not affected. It is only during the selection menu's. The pointer will automatically skip to the bottom left of the screen which is usually the button to "go back to the previous screen".

That's not a problem, that is what it always does. It is supposed to go to the bottom left corner of the screen after you enter or back out of a menu. The problem is you're just not used to it, if during racing your car doesn't keep turning left into a wall, there's nothing wrong with your controller.

Yes it quickly scrolls to the bottom left and bangs off of the icon making an annoying sound. It acts as if someone taped down left and down on the dpad.

Your L2 button is screwy. Try the game with a different controller, if possible.

Yeah, my L2 button was probably messed up aswell, but I wouldn't know if it affected racing because I always use the automatic transmission.
