Hi people.

So... anyone want to discuss it?

In my non-mastered track, the clubman stage route 5 I got 44.xxx (I think) with the elise gt1.
What of your times? I want to see how I´m doing.

yeah, i make much worse times than everyone on racing line too because everyone is a blatant liar. making converstions like this quickly old.

The first time I red your post I practically ignored it, then I waited some more and no response whatsoever.
A minute ago I red the "new gt2 series interest check" thread and realized you were really serious with that "they´re lying to me" thing... so I just replyed to this to say 43.xxx. Still so slow.
Well I´m of now; gonna try to... "imagine" some more times.

Uh, about a year ago, I achieved a 44.xxx with an RX-7 GTC LM, so it's quite possible to do the same with an even faster Elise GT1.

On the other hand, look at the cars that aren't usually the best, and you get a better idea of how good the records are.

And yes, the dozen or so times I've submitted are indeed, correct times with no wall-riding or any cheats.

Yep, those racing-line times are pretty amazing.
I remember once I compared a lap time (one I did that almost cost me my sanity) to a racing-line time with the same car, and it was 5 SECONDS faster. It was the best time with that car, and later I discovered a setup that got me better times... but 5 seconds is a long way to go.

Those times push you to go faster, I've noticed. It also shows there are people who just lap the same track for hours and tinker with the settings for ages just get the perfect lap.

But doing OLR probably pushes you even more, and depending on your persistence, you can find places to go quicker and improve your car just that little bit more.

In the Elise gt1 I think my record was 46.xxx but I'm don't like the clubman stages. I think my best lap every was the time I did a lap at of smokey moutain south in 57.xxx

There was some tracks (the best example being laguna seca) that I didn´t really like in the beggining but came to enjoy afterwards. Rally in its whole was never such a case. Maybe if they had put nitros in it like super off road :)

But doing OLR probably pushes you even more
I wish gt2 had been realesed for the pc. It´s a shame one of the best racing sims to be found on a computer comes in a playstation disc. Furthermore you can bet a multiplayer mode would move millions around the world.

A little something I found lost in epsxe´s snapshot directory... for oxigen

I didn't mean to say that you didn't get that time in the GT1, I just mean the vast majority of people lie out their asses when it come to times. you look at racing line, they set a "platinum" time for a licence, and suddenly people can go that fast!. it's just not possible, I've completed licences perfectly, and i really mean there could not be more than 0.001 in it and people on racing line are chopping off another second, yeah right. it just ****s me.

I apologize then. I know the felling: sometimes it´s really hard to belive, especialy when you look at your time beaten by miles and then look at your bloody fingers.

I see it too, I'm not calling anyone in the OLR a cheat, but theother week was in a 350Z round Apricot hill, my T1,2,3 and I think there was a T4 were very close to the top ones, less than a second in it. But when I submitted my time, it got beat by around 5 or 6 seconds, now where the hell did I lose 5 or 6 seconds in the last section of Apricot hill.
