gt3 Hybrid Question

Hello everyone. I never tried to hybrid cars in any of the GT games but I finally said wth and want to do it. I was wondering if anyone knew of a site that has a complete list of all the codes I will need to hybrid cars in GT3 using a Gameshark. Right now I don't own a Max Drive or whatever they are called (sorry) but only a Gameshark and I came across a few sites that have a few codes but not all. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I'm using the North American version of the game so I'm guessing I will need codes for that version of the game. Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can throw me.

I am going to start creating hybrids with gameshark, but have no idea how. can some one send me a pm on how? i know i have to buy a sharkport, buth tahts it.
i have gameshark.

Thanks a lot RogsR34UK. I really appreciate it.

Well when I was out today I was able to pick up a AR MAX and I think I'm ready to start with the hybriding cars on GT3 if someone could just tell me how I can get MK's program to read the save file. I went onto AR MAX memory manager and used it to transfer the save to my computer but MK's program won't read the game file. If someone could tell me how to get it to work I'd appreciate it. Sorry I keep asking for help I just neve done this before so I'm not really sure about what I am suppose to do to get it to work.

You need this program:

http://www.ps2savetools.com/download.php?op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=74&ttitle=PS2_Save_Builder

Read the save in as a .max and then save it as a .xps and MK's program will read it.

Thenoose...

A better option is to buy something called MaxDrive. This comes with a 16 Mb USB Memory Stick that you can use to transfer saves from the PS2 to the PC (as long as your PC has a USB port). I only ever use the PS2 software as Windows should recognize the USB Stick and Explorer can be used to read the files of the stick. More reliable than a Sharkport.

Thanks for the program link. It really helped. I already got a few good hybrids made. Just having trouble with the switching cars that aren't 4wd to 4wd. For some reason no matter what parts I use it doesn't seem to want to move past 2mph unless from a dead stop I hold down the e-brake and then hit the gas until the car reaches 2,000 rpms and then it usually takes off like it should. Once I get that problem figured out though I should be able to come up with some really good stuff.

If youare having accelleration problems with a newly made 4WD it is worth fitting an adjustable differential and making sure that all the power is not going through one set of wheels in settings and also go into gears and adjust that a little and see what effect it has.

ok, thanks for the info.

now, why does nobody sell the max drive, as i was at best buy yesterday pickin up gt4

Um, try going to Rhino or Gamestop since they are pretty much the same store just different names. I got the Action Replay Max for 24.99 plus tax from Rhino and it works great. Thanks for the info Rog, I'll get on there in a lil bit and check it out and see if any of those fix the problem.

is there any way your able to get your memory card data on a normal flash drive? Im havin trouble finding a stupid maxdrive or similiar. How does the maxdrive differ? is it because it has special software on it?. can you download that software seperately?

Both.

You can't download it as you have to buy the max drive and the software. You can't download the max drive itself. The software doesn't recognise any other memory stick, you need the max drive. Your PS2 won't play the software unless it's been chipped.

So, if you want one, buy it. Loads of Australians have one so it's not that difficult to find.

hmmkay, although muh ps2 is chipped, and i do have a seperate flash drive ;);)

What about action replay max evo? apparently that doesnt use its own flash drive...which means its not dependent on its own brand.
