But will it turn the car at 890 mph ? Logitech's cant

Even at 389 mph the G-Force only gives you 75% radius

i consider Logitech a better company than Mad Catz, however i received my wheel as a gift..so i don't have a choice hehe. as far as i can tell it seems to be a solid wheel. i'm still getting used to it though. As for Logitech..they may be better than MC but not by much. we need some company to come along and make the best wheel ever, with a clutch and gated shifter ;)

As I had stated, the wheel was just so so at speeds 200 mph an lower... beyond that it could not respond... Some would say it wasnt made for that... Be that as it may, I am still not at all happy with this product. It has worked on only one game .... Burnout 2.... An even then it doesn't respond well when speeds reach 300 mph... Lov that NOS in Burnout 2

Haven't even tried to use it on MCII... games hard nuff to beat WITH the hand held...:banghead:

to add a shifter would be cool! The next best solution right now is to mount your Dual Shock controller next to your wheel and program those buttons to shift. This is a project for someone:

Create some kind of unit to mount next to the logitech wheel and allow for the PS2 controller to balance long ways so that we can use the R1,R2,L1,L2 button in a manner like holding a gun and squezing the triggers.

From experience, this is how I set up my logitech, I turned over a stool and used a wristband to mount the controller on one of the stools legs. I programmed R2: downshift, L2: upshift, and right analog for E-Brake. Its definately funner and feels real. You have to learn to drive one hand while shifting. Its fun. Try it!

That would besane as dummies the ATEMPT to drive n auto an talk on a Cell Phone, it jus ain't happenin

That would be so PHAT if they made a wheel that came with clutch brake and gas pedals... with force feedback and like an adjustable radius so you can choose tighter or looser steering. and a 7 gear or higher shifter... ahh!! whatever company is smart enough to come out with such a wheel for game systems is going to get a hell of alot of money.

I "tweaked" My Gt force wheel a ****in' lot and I've been able to get a shifter, next to my seat with only the UP DOWN shifting and a kind of a clutch that you need to depress when you want to shift... It was pretty cool until I tried to get a vibration effect in the pedals... With a little electric engine plugged at the same place as the Force feedback's electric engine... Ben after I turned off My play2 (And It was working.... Full force feedback, UP DOWN shifter, clutch, Vibrating pedals.) But ****! I burned my ****ing Force feedback Chip... It's toasted... My wheel still works but no FF... :( anyway... I'm trying to find a new Logitech Wingman GP electronic board!!! If anyone thinks about throwing his Logitech OUt of the window for another cause than a broken Electronic board!!! SAy it!!!PLZ!!! I want my FF back!!!

Anyway.... I've got a digital camera so if anybody wants to see what it looks like and how I did it well just ask...!

The force feed back sux as well... the wheel shouldnt shake back an forth badly going straight on the test track in an F1

If that works for you then good, personally dont need that FALSE feed back distracting my drinking

Had the manufacture givin a rat arse about this problem would have built in a adjustment to increase or decrease the effect of FFB

Is this the Logitech Wheel we're talkin' about??
Can I use any USB wheel (For PC) to control GT3/PS2 with??

What are the problems with this wheel...??
Can it turn 100%??
I'm planning to get one but I need some advice and expieriences from users of the wheel!

This wheel... :P

There is no possible way to make it shake less. It’s just physics Force = Mass * Acceleration. So if the wheel applies a force and you don't counter that force then the wheel is going to turn, it can't turn less because if it did then you would end up with less force. The Force Feedback only works "realistically" if you are holding on to the wheel tightly and countering the forces applied. The second you let go then it wont work right, since the wheel is expecting you to be countering the forces it will continue applying force causing the wheel to turn much more then it would in real life. Also, none of us have ever driven an F1 car in real life, but I seriously doubt driving one at 200mph+ is a walk in the park, even going straight you probably have to make constant corrections as not to spin out, this is what the force feedback is trying to simulate. It just never really “feels” realistic cus the g forces that accompany the car turning just aren’t there.

On the test track the FF is annoying though, since on the turns it seems to have a repeating pattern of some sort, which just feels stupid.

Had Logitech bulit into the wheel an option to adjust the amount of FB then the problem would have been solved. At least one of the issues that plague the faulty wheel.

That particular wheel is good, but it's not sold anymore (at least I don’t think it is) but if you can find it i don't think it has any bugs since it was the offical GT3 wheel. There is another one that looks a lot like it that really sucks (driving force I think).

I have a Logitech wing man it’s USB works with GT3 and a PC. I’m not sure if it will work with other games on the PS2 though. It looks just like the driving force but it’s red and has no bugs. I’m not sure if it will turn at 1000mph but I really don’t care about that since I will never go that fast. I never had any problems with it.

Well you can have less FFB, set it to begginer in the GT3 options it will force less. Pro will have the most force. And simulation is no good if you want to drift.

Alright... thanx!! 👍
But I've to plug the USB connector in 1 of the 2 USB ports of the PS2 and it'll work right??

for the wing man yes, the top port is 1st player the bottom is 2nd. I don't know about other USB wheels.

I hope my steeringwheel will work (but I doubt it :( )
It's a Trust Force Feedback Race master II with 2 pedals and a shifter on the right!!
It rocks... very solid... almost indestructable.......... and it's for the PC :(

I'm just asking some +'s and -'s from users of that steeringwheel!!
Don't act so cocky against me!!!!:irked:
I've you don't know anything better to say... please say nothing!!! 👍

Try it then, if it works great, many games will not accept a wheel period, if you can get yours to work even better, always worth a try
