Well, I was just talking with a "friend", and well we had different opinions.

He said, "Because the GT3 is more of a driver’s car" and "that the GT3 is made for a more pure driving experience".

I stated that they were both opinions. He also claims that the GT3 can hold better value than the Turbo.

Anyways what is your opinion on this topic?

I of course took the Turbo. He liked the GT3 more. I have no reason to like the Turbo more beside the AWD and the forced induction part.

They are both equally quick on paper. What do you people think?

I love both cars, but to me, the GT3 is more, well 'pure' for lack of a better description. And I just found out today that one of my neighbours owns a black GT3 :D (I saw it in his open garage).

I recently watched the Top Gear Review on the Porsche gt3. He drove the gt3 R.S. I'm not to sure if there's a massive amount between the two (gt3 and gt3 R.S.) But from what I saw, the gt3 is much more of a just a hardcore racer. Were as the 911 could be an everyday driver.

Which would be funner? The gt3. Which would I buy? The 911...

The Turbo is a great car along with the GT3.

Here is the specs.

911 Turbo Cabriolet:
Price: $128,200
Bhp: 415Bhp @6000RPM
0-60: 4.3 sec
0-100: 9.5
Top Speed: 189

911 GT3:
Price: $99,900
Bhp: 380Bhp @7400RPM
0-60: 3.9 Sec (EDITED)
0-100: 9.1 Sec
Top Speed: 190

But the 2005 Turbo improves on these specs. However, it is a Turbo S

So, while the GT3 is quicker, cheaper, and a bit faster, the 911 Turbo offers more HP, but with a $30,000 dollar price. So the GT3, IMO, is a little better. Cheaper, and faster. But you may need to ask someone who has driven both. Just some specs, but I foind the Turbo a nicer car.

Of course. Just about every cabriolet or convertible model of a car is going to be more expensive than a coupe model.

So why did you use it for reference. The GT3 is a coupe. Therefore you should try Turbo Coupe :)
The latest specs for a 911 Turbo are the 2000 Specs.
Unless I use the 2005 Turbo Coupe Specs.
BTW, the 911 GT3 has gone down in price since the last one with a different spoiler, but the 911 GT2....IT KEEPS GETTIN HIGHER AND HIGER!

'01 GT2: $180,000
'03 GT2: $182,000
'04 GT2: $192,000!

In 3 years, it's increased $12,000.
IS it really worth it? You better friggin belive it is!
It's 0-100 is getting -1 sec better every year.

Thats pure bull****. The 911 GT3 don't do 0-60 in 3.1s that would make it faster than the Mclaren F1 and the Ferrari Enzo.

Here are the real spec, I don't know where you got the 911 spec from.

Rear-mounted, 3.6 liters, 6 cylinder, rear-wheel drive, two-seater, coupe

GT3

USD 99,900.00 MSRP
380 hp @ 7,400 rpm
285 lb-ft @ 5,000 rpm
0-62 mph: 4.3 sec
Top Track Speed: 190 mph
City: 15 mpg
Highway: 23 mpg

VS.

911 Turbo

USD 118,000.00 MSRP
415 hp @ 6,000 rpm
415 lb-ft @ 2,700-4,600 rpm
0-62 mph: 4.2 sec (.1s faster)
Top Track Speed: 190 mph
City: 15 mpg
Highway: 23 mpg

The 911 Turbo S is faster but it also cost more.

The performance is similar and best bang for your buck is the GT3, but I still like my Turbo!

I messed up. SO SUE ME! it's does it in 3.9 or close to that.

It's built to be like a race car.

EDIT; My bad, it's 0-60 in 3.9 sec.

No it is not! Its 4.3 second. Where do you get your numbers from? I got mine from Porsche site and I will go with that number.

Look at the stats of the GT3, 3.9 is not possible.

You not only messed up but your infomation is wrong too. Its not 3.9. Im going by Porsche's website. Anyways, I don't want to sound like an ass, so I appologize for sounding rude. But your sources are wrong.

If Porsche themselves claim 4.3 thats what I will go by.

I messed up. SO FRIGGIN SUE ME! D***! 1 mistake.

Everyone messed up. Don't post whore on my thread :).

I don't blame you, and im not going to sue you.

Have a nice day man! 👍

The Carrera GT is amazing to. Is it and the GT3 the only ones with sounds? Cause all the other 911 models don't offer sounds.

BTW, I'm going to find an old supercar sound that was awesome and very very lud when the volume was at 75%.

Unfornately, I can obtain the car engine I was talking about. It was going to be the Lamborghini Diablo GT, GTR, and the Porsche 911 GT1. But Lamborghini only has the Murcielago sounds, and the Porsche site no longer has the engine sound.
