That would be cool if they would be in GT5 along with other car parts!

We wont know til the game releases. You should really read the other threads about this stuff instead of posting other threads.

Wheels & Engine upgrades will make it over. That's been a feature since the beginning. NOS, maybe, but after PD experimented with spoilers in GT4 & started offering tuned-versions of cars, I'd say they'll probably be back to.

Photo Mode will obviously be back. I'm sure I've seen on here that someone saw a faded-out PhotoMode option in GT5:P demo once.

I'm sure Photo mode will be in GT5, seems mad taking it out just as the graphics got incredible. I would be surprised if they removed the other stuff, especially since the tuned cars have body kits, non-standard wheels and the Evo IX tuned car has what looks like one of the rear wings from GT4.

Also, they'd have to be clinically insane to take out the engine tuning options.

Side skirts, hoods, decals, front and rear bumpers, neon, and any other modifications like any other Need For Speed and Midnight Club games and so on would be appreciated!:sly:

Everything besides neon, yes. :sly:

That would be terrible! I really hope Gran Turismo never stoops to those games levels. This isn't an arcade racing game, I would disown, and Im sure many others would as well, Gran Turismo for that.

Well, SOOORRY!!!

I'm pretty sure a thread like this has been done before...and how are we going to know until we see it..?

I hope that everything mentioned except for NOS, neons and color tinted windows make it over. I don't want to see any ricers in GT5.

Also, the name of this thread is a bit misleading. Just saying.

Why would that be terrible, well I don't want the neons, they have no place in racing (though some pro drift cars have them), but the decals and body mods are all part of motorsport, a big part. GT5:P already has modded cars, the concept by GT car nearly all have body mods, new bonnets, skirts and what not. GT1 and GT2 let you give your car body mods, you couldn't choose the individual parts piece by piece but the race mod was a body mod.

You should see daan and I racing it. We don't drift...

The Blitz D1GP R34 Skyline in GT4 has neons.
Indeed it does, but I liken that fact to the idea some cars have mega sound systems but I don't see the need for upgradable sound systems. Body modifacations affect the cars aerodynamic properties and can assist in stability and cornering potential.

Then again I suppose you could lump neons in with the concept of a livery editor (which I am very much for), which also offers no increase in the cars potential ability but can provide more means for creativity and a bigger connection to the car. So there's definitely a valid argument for them if enough people did want them. Personally I wouldn't care if neons were included, they just wouldn't be my thing.

No, what I meant would be terrible, would be the modifications you get in NFS or Midnight club. Body modifications are usually superficial in "street racing" I don't need to see a Toyota Corolla with a hood scoop. And i'm the last person you need to tell about aero kits in motorsport, I used to fabricate cars.

If I want to play Need For Speed I will, Underglow as they are properly called are useless, and illegal in most US states, I'm not sure about international laws. Back to my point, I just think ricing out cars would be unneeded. Performance modification though, more power to Polyphony.

Exactly, Neons just Dont fit in a Racing Game, To be hones, Drifting its not Racing, its more like and Exhibition.

Im Hoping we'll get Body/Aerodynamic Modifications Like Bumpers, Diffussors, Hoods, and so on, Only when they are Really Functional.

I dont want to see some Cavalier with knockoff Bodykit, Neons and a Chavvy Paint:crazy:

Well, just because you and Daan don't drift in that car, doesn't mean that the car isn't a drift car.:sly:

Careful, dont want to upset the SUPER moderator.

I think the features will definitely come across and there will be more to rival Forza.

As far as mods, I would be happy enough with livery editing and that when I choose a spoiler like the way it is in GT4, can it please match the colour of the car this time?

If they do include things like body modifications, I can see there being a lot of manufacturers who insist that their cars cant be modified...

Cant see Ferrari for example letting you mess up the looks of their cars!

But so long as the parts actually have a positive impact on performance I dont have a problem with it, for example a good front splitter can have a major performance impact. What I really dont want to see is things like huge bonnet scoops on cars that are NA etc. Hopefully if you can run cars with body modifications online, there is something to limit it so you dont have to constantly race a bunch of chaved up cars!

How would anybody possibly know the answer to that? If any bit of news exists as to features about gt5 etc. it would be listed on the news section.

Sorry that your thread is the one I bring this point up in but repeatedly I have seen threads posted asking things that nobody could possibly post the answer to and if they could, it would already be mentioned in the news section.

Lesson to all: if you want to know something, do a search, if nothing comes up in the search in all likelyhood nobody knows the answer to your query.

But seriously... I think it should be up to the person playing the game to decide whatever they want to do. I do, however, agree that only bodykits which include aerodynamic improvement should be implemented into the game.

And, hey... you will get a few chavs, of course. Punters.

But, have you ever read one of those Redline/Fast Car mags that they have? Sure, they have dubious taste in clothing and music, but a lot of these guys really know their stuff and can make a bloody fast car. There are a bunch, yes, who just fit bodykits and sound systems and such, but a vast majority do actually know their stuff about cars, and a few of them are actually pretty amazing looking as well, like Redline's white and black Skyline R33.

And, hey... who cares if we get a few chavs online with complete rice-mobiles? Just completely smoke 'em in your Ferrari :sly:
