helllo....i just realized that gt4 has a few region like in europe,us,and asia.....does anyone notice about it.....i live in malaysia....and currently my
gt4 disc has spoil after 5 years and i bought a new gt4 disc and it wouldnt match...anyone encounter this problem before, and the gt4 disc that i just bought is european region...anyone know about this........but what i know is the european version has more songs and there is this shop like second hand shop.... but the old gt4 game that i was playing is just soundtrack only and the shop has 70's,80's and 90's shops....is the gt4 that i am playing is GT4 prologue....

Err...

GT4 says "GT4" on the cover, and has a picture of a Ford GT.
GT4: Prologue says "GT4: Prologue" on the cover, and has a faint picture of a wheel.

American/Canadian game says "NTSC-U/C" in the corner of the cover.
Japanese/Asian game says "NTSC-J" in the corner of the cover.
European/Worldwide game says "PAL" in the corner of the cover.

Comparing your old game case to your new one will give you the information you require. Though your post is complex and fairly random, so I don't know exactly what information you need...

ok but do u still remember the first version the gt4 launch with english/japanese moderated....... .with all sentimental songs plus 70s,80s,90s shops or second hand shop.......but when comes the european version its being added some new rock songs and the shops in the menu is being change........its been 5 years i have been playing it but till last week i try to change a new cd it cant play at all.....got so frustrated......isssssssh...........erm i am currently reciding in UK any chance the GT4 is similar with asia

I figure this might help: Worldwide TV standards.

Compare the country where you were living to the country you're in now. If the standards match, you may be OK. If not, you'll need to make sure you've got the right GT4 disc for that region.

On another note, use of "txt" style typing such as "u" 👎 instead of "you" is forbidden at :gtplanet:
Please post in the fullest, clearest English that you can so that everyone may easily understand. 👍

I seriously can't understand what it is you're saying, what the issue is or what you want... But for the very last part you cannot play GT4 for other regions (UK is the Worldwide version like the rest of Europe; Asia is, surprisingly, Asia version) on PS2 console that are not from those regions. If you have a PAL/Worldwide GT4 and an NTSC/Asian PS2, you won't be able to play it.

The bit with the songs and the shops is confusing the hell out of me. Could you possibly photograph what the problem is?

I think maybe what he is saying, is that whatever version he has bought, it doesn't have the 70's, 80's and 90's used cars shops, and there isn't a 2nd hand shop (which I had no idea existed in the first place). I think maybe the game is having trouble loading, due to Ps2 differences.

ALSO, He must have had the NTSC-J version before hand, and now he has bought the PAL version, and there are new songs, and probably less cars.

-- Thats all I can say from what I can make out, and I can speak fluent 'txt' :D

No version does. There's an 80s/Old Timers garage and two 90s garages for 90-95 and 96 on.

and there isn't a 2nd hand shop (which I had no idea existed in the first place).

Aside from the above, there isn't one.

I think maybe the game is having trouble loading, due to Ps2 differences.

The game wouldn't even be recognised as a valid disc by the console. I have NTSC-J and PAL consoles and NTSC-J, NTSC-U/C and PAL games.

ALSO, He must have had the NTSC-J version before hand, and now he has bought the PAL version, and there are new songs, and probably less cars.

The songs are different, version to version and there's not really a significantly different number of cars. But if the game isn't loading he wouldn't be able to determine this. Hence my confusion...

As for where GT4: Prologue comes into it... I have no idea.
