Added a Power to Weight Ratio Column. Currently 478 cars have their respective Pwr:Wgt displayed. I will continue to add more as I get the information.

OH MY ****ING GOD!

OH MY ****ING GOD!

1290.32 bhp/tonne!!

That's not possible.... and its 1290.32 PS/tonne for the Nissan R89C Race Car ('89)

edit: Wo...All of the links bring me to pictures of different cars...:odd:

RJ64, the Power to Weight is in PS/Tonne. In GT3, I believe the ratio was actually weight to power, as the smaller the number, the better.

If someone can tell me how the Power to Weight is listed in GT4, I will change the table to match it.

As for the Toyota 7 Race Car, 1290.32 ps/tonne is correct if I have my formula right.

PS/Weight (in metric tonnes)=PS/tonne?? Right??

800/.620=1290.32

And I don't know what was wrong with the table, but everything seems to be working fine now. Let me know if you guys are still having problems with the new update.

I have added a few cars and the total is up to 733 now.

No one has completed the game and already 740+:crazy:How many other cars could be unlocked?Could the final number be closer to 800 or more!!!???

And just so you know, the pic that you have for the Polyphony Formula Gran Turismo ('04) is actually the Toyota Motor Triathlon Race Car ('04), and not the F1 car itself.

I have been working on a updated version of this file with some added functionality, specifically the ability to filter your results.

In this screenshot, I have filtered the results to only include TVRs.

In this screenshot, I have filtered the results to only include TVRs which cost less than 10,000,000cr.

In this screenshot, I have filtered the results to only include Fords which are NEW and have less than 400 PS.

If you will also notice, in each screenshot, the bottom of the table gives the number of cars that match your current filter. This way it would be easy at a click to see, for instance, how many FF cars are under 200PS and in your price range.

I would like everyone's thoughts on the usefulness of this ability to filter. Do you think it is a good addition to the page? If so, what are some of the filter selections you would like me to include?

Thanks.

Whoa, jkrobby is the overachiever of the year! All of those filter options sound great but I can't really think of what would work and what wouldn't. But I'm sure I'm not alone in saying a feature like that would be most welcome. Keep up the great work!

Here are the options I have in right now. I actually have a beta version up and running, but I don't have a web host that will allow the use of PHP, or I could let you guys try it out.

Cost : Any, Less than 1000000cr, More than 1000000cr, Less than 5000000cr, Less than 10000000cr.

Hi jkrobby,

It is a wonderful job that you did here (the cars list)

And you are making the filter options, oh man (you are the man)

But (and excuse my question) why do you need host that support php?!!! (I don't know what is php language anyway)

Can't you do it like the car list?!! An HTML files in a zip file?!!

I don't know why do you need it, but I saw a file like this for some soccer teams with sort & search options and it was just an excel file stands alone (you need the MS Excel installed and that’s it).

I am going to see how we could make it with excel since I know couple of smart people who are pros in MS products.

PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is an open source, server-side, HTML embedded scripting language used to create dynamic web pages.

Now what that means is, PHP gives the user the ability to "filter" his/her results with only one web page.

In normal HTML, each page must be coded individually. So, to make the table filterable by Make, I would have to code 80 individual web pages. Count all the possible combinations for all the filtering choices and you get 3,189,375 different web pages. PHP puts all of those possibilities into one tidy page.

As far as Excel, here is the Excel file I use to store all the information on the cars. For those of you who have Excel, it could be useful.

Thanks jkrobby for the explanation
I used your excel file and modified some field.
Now it is filterable and sortable according to:

Maker
Year of production
Used/New
Cost
Derivation
Power
Torque
Power/Weight
Origin

It is an MS Execle file

Hey, that's great. That is exactly what I am doing with the web page. The only reason I want to get the web page up on here is that it is more accessible to the average user.

Thanks a lot for posting that.

This has probably been answered already, but since it'll take like 10 seconds to answer I'll ask.

I've noticed that you have converted the credits (100,000,000 #'s) into prices that closely resemble dollars for us here in America. Example: '05 Mustang GT costing around 25,000.

How much money do you think you'll start out with in the American version?

Exactlly like GT3
10,000 Credits

GT3 was 20,000 credits eh?
You were almost right, It is 18,000cr for GT3 (I just checked) :)

Ok how did I calculated it for GT4
One of my fried told me that 1$ ~ 100yen.

and you start with 1,000,000 in jp GT4 right?!! (I don't have the game yet :indiff: )
If you convert it to $, it will be 10,000.

I hope that I am right this time :nervous:

Little less then that actually, (atleast when considering today's market). 9,615.39$, just checked on a currency converter. Anywho, I'm sure they'll round it to 10k.
