ok, i just bought a wheel ( driving force p) and i have to say its put a new lease on teh life of the game

Come now ving. GT4 newbie? You were playing GT4 before I was (or at least was on the forums before I was. Long, long before I was).

lol tornado, I basically came back to see how things are going....

I have been playing but not much and still with the good olde ds2 (broke one from over use LOL. got myself a driving force p the other day and its breathed new life into the game for me.

There's a name I haven't seen around here in a while, welcome back!

I grabbed the DFP a year ago and loved it, it really does make the game that much more interesting. FF cars especially behave completely differently with the wheel; I avoided them with the DS2 because they felt like crap, but taking a Focus RS around the 'Ring with the wheel made me see the light. Of course, due to space and the fact I normally only play for Photomode now, I hardly ever pull the wheel out .

thats a shame. but i guess every game has a shelf life. i havent tried a FF with teh wheel yet. have to try that next

Well doing 6:48.xxx in an Opel Astra DTM Racing Car with DS2 isn't too bad I think?

Got used to the DS2 as I can't use a DFP in my flat

i been using the wheel so much i suck with the D2 controler now.

i have found that i had to re-learn teh game. i was pretty good with the ds2 and i used a highppowered car straight away with the wheel... bad move. then i went to a slow car and i have been working my way up. i have even done a restart with the game

I've just got a DFP, I used the DS2 after a week of DFPing but just couldn't race with it anymore, DFP's take some getting used to, but they rock!

Sorry to hear that, unfortunately there's no feature in GT4 that allows you to save while racing an event, not even on pit stops. It would be convenient to have one, but it would take away the whole point of the race, which is to endure.

So no, it cannot be done.
