This week’s theme will be "King of the Mountain" as chosen by week 7 winner boganbusman.​

Further explanation of theme:

Inspired by the upcoming Bathurst 1000 race, I want to see I6 (inline-6) and V8 (vee-8) race cars only, at any one of these tracks which feature a more than average change in elevation, and that remind me of the mighty Mount Panorama circuit:
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Trial Mountain Circuit
Deep Forest Raceway
El Captain
Midfield Raceway

Winner will select the top 10 for the poll and pick the theme for the following week.
Post your final entry in red letters. Such as “Final Entry”
A preview image may be used, but it may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels by either photo orientation.
You may have two honorable mentions if a preview image is not used.
Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
Do not post more than three photos in this thread.
Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack and have the thumbnail picture.

You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like
adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image​

-and extra marks for recreating part of the Bathurst circuit. I don't know if this is actually possible but I'm sure you geniuses can figure out something 💡

Doesn't Suzuka compare to Midfield in terms of elevation change? But my guess is you're picking Midfield because of that steep section before the main straight

Also correct.
The 'ring also has a massive change in elevation (300m) but it doesn't remind me of the Bathurst track when I drive on it.
That was the general idea behind my track selection.


Anyway, I see some great shots here, lets keep 'em coming 👍

I see. So basically, you are exactly looking for: a sudden, steep elevation change. 👍 (and ofcourse an attempt to make ot look like bathurst)

I think that the Forza guys created the Blue Mountains Raceway in accordance to Bathurst. It has a lot of similarities with it's tight, hilly terrain. Cool track though!

And also, I may disappear for while due to the fact that Socom 3 will be coming out a week from Tuesday, and 360 will be coming out a month after that! Gota love Socom Online!👍
