Further explanation of theme:
Only shots from license replays may be submitted, not a garage car that happens to be on the same track. Also, I want to see excitement, though you may interpret that however you see fit!

Being in the polls is something I already know from every week, but I never get a lot of votes... !

Yep, same here freddy. I usually get in the polls in this comp, but I never get that many votes.

I know the same feeling altough I didn't make this one, I have gotten on some polls but never get any votes either. I am however in TVR manufacturer's poll and suprisingly in second place. I nearly crapped my pants when I saw some had voted for me. I hope I'm wrong but I think alot of these polls are swayed by "who" took the pic rather than how good it actually is. I think there are some people that just have a huge fan base and get voted for even if their shot isn't the best. Thats why I kinda prefer the rally method of doing it withought knowing at all who put the picture up. But I guess thats life, not really worth making a big deal out of I guess, just means we all have to step it up just that much more I suppose.

Yea, that is sort of true. People will vote for certain people sometimes just because it is that person, I do that sometimes too. Also there could be a bandwagon affect, if one shot is already doing good with votes other people will vote for that one since most people voted for it already. I do agree with the rally comp submitting and voting method.

I really like the Lotus Esprit test, although I know the RUF YELLOWBIRD is also a real fun test and that Danger Orange captured the driving lessons feel really nicely just by adding those cones.
And I really like the picture of sejtur plus I like driving behind the pacecar, it usually gives me gold at once but THAT liscence in particular was a pain in teh @ss to gold
And the last picture REALLY shows excitement.

They're all very good...but I think Danger Orange is in the lead for me

I was hoping guys were more fair in their voting, glad to hear this from a veteran guy here. I guess I kind of like both types of comps. Each with its advantages. I like the secrecy of the rally mode yet I like the ability to have my name slapped on my pic as well. At least we have the options. I personally love all the competitions, and enter them cause its fun. Sure it gets a little discouraging if you don't get on the poll, or get on the poll and get no votes, but theres a reason for that. Just may not be up to par with some of the others. Makes me try harder thats for sure. Good luck guys 👍

Well if I look at the results, they REALLY match my opinion on the poll till now.
And I dont think I judge on persons....

Glad it's not only the looks of the pictures that make people vote for them, but especially how well the pics fit the theme:tup:

Ah, I did'nt get in for a change. Oh well, I did'nt spend any time on my entry this week anyway, so I guess it's good that someone else gets a chance. Anyway, I voted for Rev's "Bob" picture. That's something I remember about the license tests, driving convertables. The driver is using good hand over hand driving technique, and the focus is just right. And it's different from anything anybody else has up there.

That's the way it goes around here freddy. People see artificial blur and go crazy over it. I am guilty of the same, but that's just the way it is.

BAM! I've never seen a shot quite like Revolution's. It's so unique, has a lot of action, an dis just awesome. Youy can see how the car is turning by the curved blur of the background. Bob is really cranking that wheel, too; that's a pretty realistic hand position. I have absolutely no idea why that insane picture isn't winning. I was scrolling like "car, car, another car, yeah, a car, HOLY **** BAM!!!! LOOK AT THAT!!, car, woohoo a car, hey, that one's doing a face plant in the dirt..." That's what I said. That also means that vr6 was a distant second, but he was still second no matter how far back he was.

I vote for Esprit because the colour is rather realistic
that license test starts with very high speed in tight italian street
sense of speed is purely awesome
the picture really captures the feeling IMO

I agree that sometimes comps can be swayed by "who" the picture's by, not neccessarily the picture. However, leave the pictures anonymous and I bet most of us could pick out certain vets' pictures even without names, such as Franz, or 440's gradient shots (which, I must say, seems to have a similar effect to motion blur when it comes to grabbing votes ).

I usually try to vote for which shot best represents the theme, which is a toughie because I picked it this week. I'm actually stuck between 6 (yes, 6) shots. In the case of PR's Esprit, yes, it's an over-exaggerated blur, but I see the reasoning behind it; it serves to highlight the sensation of speed Cita gives you. I certainly remember the first time I drove that course, which was one of my first ones after playing GT3, I was shocked at how fast I was going, and I was in a car not even nearly as fast as the Lotus! So I don't mind it.

Also, I never noticed until now, but DO's Griffith seems to have a literal craving for cones!

I too look for the shot that best exemplifies the theme. There are alot of good shots but without knowing its from a "license test" it looks like any other nice shot. The ones that show cones, pace car, driver, ect, really express the "license test" aspect of the theme.

Im really surprised that none of those Z4 shots made it to the poll!! I figured Tree Fingers shot was a lock... Im excited that my shots are doing this well!! I have yet to win a 2.0 or photomode comp.. IM SWEATING BULLETS!!! Great week you guys!!

I changed my Z4 shot to the celica in the snow. I probably should have left it alone though.

Exactly I agree with franz.

As I said, people tend to vote just for the beautifull pictures. Thats kind of dumb, cause themes dont excist for nothing.

For me, I'm gonna vote for the Esprit too.

Try to think about the choice of car you make, and how you will fit in with the theme rather then just making some random picture look good.
Vote for the best fitting picture compared to the theme!!!
