my personal favorite goes to Melaneimoon's 2000GT and top view AC Cobra
I vote for the 2000GT because it looks so clean
the colour tone also fits the theme very well 👍

humbleness is very noble alpha. I personaly think your picture is worthy of being up there however. nice shot but I had to go with the cobra, love that shot.

Don't give up, but learn and get better. Look at other people's shots that you like, and think about what makes them good. And take a look in the tutorials for brushing up your shots. There's really not much to it 👍

nope... i'm done. Any photomode stuff I do now will be strictly for my own enjoyment.
Not like the reasons matter, but its the same thing div was on about a few weeks ago. The same five things get picked every week, its all so stale and uninteresting.
I look at things and base opinion on quality + composition, how well it fits the theme, and above all else: creativity + originality... which means, my idea of what's good just does not jive with these public opinion polls.
and the bottom line... It's just not fun for me.

Oh right, I get your point. I agree actually, that's why I like the rally comp so much (which allows no editing whatsoever), although it might be good if the comp master gives every image an equal resize and small b/c adjustment to fix the GT4 darkness and huge size (although a participant could ask not to do this ofcourse). But the way I see it is that this advanced comp is simply also competition of photoshop skill, you know, just to get photos that are very nice to look at, you know. So I think it's good that there's a comp like this (to get really nice images). But I agree that this comp isn't only about your pure photomode skills, and I too would like to see more of those.

I don't think the same shots get picked week to week. I do however, see a lot more quality shots than ever before. I think that these contests aren't necessarily the place to express your original style and be competitive at the same time. The galleries should be where your originality shows most and the competitions should be where your composition shows most.

Photomode skill is compulsory
Great photoshop skill is a bonus
But to win the competition
you have to know what kind of photos will get people's attention
so it's kinda like shaping your style to win
it sounds cheap but its true
you can always try new stuff to see if other people like it
building your gallery maybe the best way to test things out

It's hard to know which one to vote for, imho the honourable mentions are all more 'vintage' in appearance than any of the top 10, but that's just my interpretation of the theme. Melaniemoon's shot is beautifully composed and is certainly the stand out, but to me it is a very modern shot with the only vintage thing about it being the car's age. I also like the datsun up top but the jaggies & angled curves stick out and spoil the illusion. decisions, decisions!

This is my first succesfull entry I guess Plus, when I get my new DFP again there will be a boost of new entries in new competitions, I'm definatly enjoying this competition. LOOK AT IT, I'M EVEN WITH THE METALLIC COBRA, and I even got one more vote than Lando's picture. I thought this entry was pretty weak.

Well there's only one of the top 10 that I don't like, the rest are all very nice and as long as you picked the ones you liked the most, it's all good I've managed to narrow it down to three shots that I really like, but I still can't decide!
