Id like to ad a stipulation to this weeks theme....

I know some of the regulars in this comp have already completed such an ad in the past. Id like to ask that those not be used and you come up with something new. If you have any comments, etc. feel free to post them or PM me.

Yay ... finally something I am really good at :)
I guess we will have more than 20 entries this week

Woohoo! I love this theme! I had this one half-finished sitting on my desktop for a couple of weeks, so I tided it up and made it my

FINAL ENTRY!

Hopefully more entries coming soon!
Can I give you a tip on doing the glow since I'm most likely not going to participate in this one (don't have time). Cut out all the sideskirts and place them on a new layer. Then create a new layer and drag it between that sideskirt layer and the original. Turn the sideskirts layer off for a moment. On the 'middle' layer, draw the lightbars. Right click the layer and hit blending options (or just double click it - on the layer list or whatever u call it), then go into outer glow and adjust it to how you want it. Now go to the upper, sideskirt layer and turn it on. That way it will cover the actual lightbar, but it will keep the glow.

Other than that, it's a beautiful job :)

Nice car ... but hey ... which aftermarket company you are selling?
since it has to be an ad .... how about StreetGlow? :D

my 1st ENTRY on this competition.
I'll keep it simple:

Original Image Size

Anyway here's the thumbnail:

Whoops, I didn't know that it had to be an ad! I just saw the words "aftermarket car accesories" started editing using PSP and Ulead PhotoImpact 8! I'll fix it later tonight. I'll have to think of a company. Hmmm. Ralliart?

Wow ... nice stuff easy$$
I like the OZ ad because those GT4 photos also including OZ logos on them
nice touch 👍

Vicious VP
Good job! I'm glad to see that you got a couple GT4 pics in there somewhere! :sly:

Is that a compliment because there are 7 shots in the OZ ad...or a slam cuz there's not enough?

Im thinking its a slam...

They DO look awesome! It is that I have never liked the use of real pics in these comps ... I have always used shots from GT4 only. The use of real pics seem to make it to easy; you only need browse the Internet and use the ones you want. I guess it is because the photographic work is done for you ...

I do , however, understand that there are no good "parts" shots available in GT4 so that can make designing a good ad more of a challenge.

Just my thoughts and how I feel ... 👍

Your eye for design is great as usual.

You could always go to photo travel, zoom in real close on the wheel or whatever, then cut it out in photoshop... i guess that's too much work for most.

I did that and this is how the wheel came out.....

Looks like @$$ if you ask me....

The thing to do would be model and render a wheel and tire or other bits in 3dsMAX, but not everyone has that program available to them. And, again, it wouldnt be GT4 material.

hmm, seems like something i'll be doin later 2nite when i get home.. maybe i'll make one of those poster-ad things.. [like wut they give out @ auto shows/events]

edit: i think i'll be buying a GTO 💡

Okay, I've changed my picture to a Ralliart advert and I'll update my post later tonight.
PS It needs to be viewed at either 50% or 100% or the carbon fibre texture will be all mucked up.
And great entries everyone!

Sorry about the double-post but here is my Entry.
Slo-Car, sorry but I didn't have time to try your technique on neons. But next time I do something like that I'll definitely try it. But thanks anyway.
Anyway, here is the picture in its full size, as you can see the carbon-fibre texture comes out better when viewed at 100%.

Sorry for the huge pic.
Good Luck Everyone!

Final Entry

Formula D Drift Car (seen on Super Street Magazine)
12 hours of brushing

Whoah! Franz! That is fantastic! Wow.
Kinda puts my Entry to shame. Oh well. I took your advice and made a streetglow advert, and I took Slo-car's tips on neons on board and it worked fantasticly! I'm still shocked that an amatuer photo-modder like me made a pic like that!
