Let's see if we can break our voting record this week and get over 50 voters! We had a good turnout for last week's poll but, I know we can do better. Mmm I don't like Xbox...
The car was a LOT of fun in Colin McRae Rally 2 though. It was a real b*tch to drive, but our story was like "this tiny little car wants to race so badly, it tries too hard and slides off the track", which made it really funny.

Oh yeah? Well I finally entered, made it into the top 10 and got NO votes! I say my achivement is more important as it shows me that just entering is not good enough to get a vote by default. However, your pic was good and well deserved the win.

Play Shox. It's got al of the Group B cars in it barring the Lancia Delta S4 (which it makes up for by including the better looking Lancia Type 37 Monte Carlo). It should also cost around $2 now, since it cost $20 when it was new.

I disagree with feedback/criticism being a necessity for learning. The biggest factor is one's personality; how one looks at things, how one deals with the information at hand.
As good old George said: "It's all in the mind".

That doesn't mean feedback is not good or helpful ofcourse 👍

OK, maybe I should have said that it's a nice "milestone" number to shoot for. It really doesn't matter, it's just a number I thought we might be able to achieve since the other competitions always get almost twice as many users to vote. I'd just like to see more people get involved with this whether it's by submitting entries or just voting. You don't have to like the rally part of GT4 in order to vote, just vote for the one that you think is the best picture in the poll.

As far as feedback goes, I think that by posting some constructive critisism that someone could say, "Yeah, I can see that" or not. The whole purpose of feedback is to get an idea of what could, should or would "improve" a picture. And whether or not a person agrees with the feedback is entirely up to them. If you look at the posts in the other competitions, there is always someone posting some kind of feedback or opinion about what makes a certain picture good, bad or somewhere in between. So, why wouldn't that work here also?

Granted, Photoshop isn't allowed in this competition (except for week 20) but there are still many different points of view as to what would make a "stock" photo good or bad. Angle, white balance, focal point, etc. And if we get some feedback on these "stock" photos wouldn't that give a better base to build on for the Photoshop competitions and just improve the pictures in this competiton also?

But as you say, as a whole, accepting feedback is entirely a state of mind. But, if you have no idea why your picture isn't "liked" by the users that DO vote how are you gonna produce one that will be "liked"?
