Welcome to this week's edition of the Rally Photomode Competition.

Thanks to all that entered and voted in last week's competition.

Congratulations to jmx2222 as the first winner in 2006.

Let's get started on another great week .....

Week 2006-1-3 Theme as chosen by jmx2222: Retro Rally Cover

Capture the car as it would appear on a magazine cover or poster​

Cars: Any RALLY car up to and including 1999.




Tracks: ANY​

Entry Deadline: 29 January 00 hour



The rules (please read them all).....​

Please note revision to rule #6.


1. ONLY photomode pictures will be accepted. NO Photoshop, Photosuite or ANY other kind of enhancements/modifications allowed.

2. Use only your own pictures.

3. Use only Imageshack Thumbnail for forums (1) link.

4. Only one valid entry per week per person. Once a valid entry has been submitted, it may not be changed.

5. In the spirit of fairness (and anonymity), please don't post your FINAL ENTRY in a thread of any kind or your galleries until AFTER the winner has been selected. Also, please don't post HM's.

6. A system will be used in which the winner of each week's competition will choose the theme and Top 12 for the next week's competition however, the winner will not be allowed to re-enter the competition until the following week. The Top 12 entries will be placed in a poll to select that week's winner.

NOTE: If 12 or fewer entries are received, ALL entries will be entered into the weekly poll and the previous week's winner will be eligible for entry.

7. Do not vote for your own entry in the polls.

Remember that the Rally Photomode Competitions are by anonymous entry. The names of the entrants will be disclosed AFTER the poll for this week have closed.

As entries are received they will be posted here for your viewing pleasure.

yes, you are right ... I was on wrc.com and took some ideas from there (the raster thing), but the timer thingie was my own idea.

Every time there's a comp in which it says make a magazine cover worthy shot some horizontal shots turn up. I think those shots should be verticals because those are the format of a magazine don't you think?

I think the horizontal ones are going for the poster look.

Q - with the banners, would it be possible to reduce the size of the first one to the same saize as the rest?
