Welcome to this week's edition of the Rally Photomode Competition.

Thanks to all that entered and voted in last week's competition.

Let's get started on another great week .....


Week 2006-1-4 Theme: Japan Under Fire Rally

Further Description: (As described by sumyungguy) Any Japanese Rally car "throwing fire" (backfiring). ​




Cars: Any Japanese car labeled Rally car by GT4.




Tracks: ANY track.​




Entry Deadline: 12 February 00 hour (GMT+6)



The rules (please read them all).....​


1.Cropping of your entry will be allowed. Minimum size: 800x600 dpi. NO other Photoshop, Photosuite or ANY other kind of enhancements/modifications allowed.

2. Use only your own pictures.

3. Use only Imageshack Thumbnail for forums (1) link.

4. Only one valid entry per week per person. Once a valid entry has been submitted, it may not be changed.

5. In the spirit of fairness (and anonymity), please don't post your FINAL ENTRY in a thread of any kind or your galleries until AFTER the winner has been selected. Also, please don't post HM's.

6. A system will be used in which the winner of each week's competition will choose the theme and Top 12 for the next week's competition however, the winner will not be allowed to re-enter the competition until the following week. The Top 12 entries will be placed in a poll to select that week's winner.

NOTE: If 12 or fewer entries are received, ALL entries will be entered into the weekly poll and the previous week's winner will be eligible for entry.

7. Do not vote for your own entry in the polls.

Remember that the Rally Photomode Competitions are by anonymous entry. The names of the entrants will be disclosed AFTER the poll for this week have closed.

As entries are received they will be posted here for viewing.

Nice...backfires....people avoid them because they are "unoriginal". Hopefully we some creative approaches:)
 
hm ... i might have to pass to help my senstive controllers ... my one ps2 controller is already broken so im using my ps1 controllers :|

nope. the ps controllers just seem fragile ... the shoulder trigger on the ps2 controller stick. my ps1 controllers are just old.
 
I have the perfect picture for this competition, but it's already in my gallery:ouch:
 
Just a heads up!

Message sent to gt4rallycomp to maybe clear up the theme. I was wanting to see any japanese made car blowing off some extra fuel (backfiring). Dont know if it will change but it's worth a shot. 👍

Give this comp a little more broad playing field.

Last time I looked this is the RALLY competition. If it were just any Japanese car it would be just any competition. For a "more broad playing field" there are five (I think) other competitions that have exactly that. Yes, I altered the theme a bit to accomodate THIS competition. I don't feel that it has limited the number of cars available. I count at least 16 cars that are available for this week's theme the way it is.

The one major thing that sets this competition apart from the others, is that there is NO EDITING. It tests a persons ability to capture great shots. I understand that my theme wasnt "rally", but I truly thought that it would get some creative people with a good artistic eye to show some really nice shots. Maybe there should be a competition that is like this one but not rally specific, I figured this is the only comp like it so I would submit the one I wanted to see.
 
OK, so do we have another theme that sucks or is it just that it's too much trouble to catch a car backfiring? Only 4 entries so far. What's up?

Surely it's not ALL because PS isn't available for use other than cropping the image.
 
I have just been informed that I will be going out of town for the next couple of days. So IF you'd like to enter this competition and your entry is received and "postmarked" before the deadline. it will count as an entry. However, the new poll will probably not be posted until Sunday night.
