Monongahela Track Info

I just made a "mini-Nurburgring" style track that I think would be fun to do a 2-hour endurance race on using FIA GT4 Cup cars.

Everyone registered will have a couple weeks to get the track downloaded and get some practice in, so that everyone knows the track pretty well before we start. We'd start with the time at the track at the earliest part of the day, and end at the latest. Weather would be "on" with changeability on "1".

I know most people are not fond of custom tracks, as evidence by my "Custom Track Series" thread which as 0 replies.

But I think this could be fun. :)

You know I'm down for whatever series you set up. Always the best series out there. Count me in!

I want to do this bad enough that I'm going to start getting thing together this week. Hopefully something is done about the online problems soon.

This sounds very interesting. I very much like an semi-open list of cars to choose from. Sounds great, I'll see to it that I can make it.

It will very likely be on a Saturday morning. I am going through the list of TC/RM cars now. Not all will make it, just FYI.

Any RM/TC car would be allowed? Meaning I can break out the IS-F???????

I'll be testing the IS-F shortly. Only got a few cars done tonight before I decided to shut her down.

I'm going to have to do some more testing, because I swear the physics have changed. The cars just didn't feel right. :odd:

Good luck. It's not easy to balance the RMs/TCs and be able to regulate them at the same time. I tried balancing the Z06, IS-F and R34 TC before, but it became quickly apparent that the Z06 was going to be the fastest and the R34 the slowest at any regulation I could come up with, whether by PP or power and weight. I imagine it would became even more difficult as you try to incorporate more cars.

I figure if I can get the IS-F RM, Impreza TC, Evo IX RM, Evo X TC and WRX STi RM close, then we might have something. I've pretty much ignored anything that was too fast like the RX-7 TC, Skylines, etc.

The thing is, with stock suspension/lsd settings, I found that the Lexus IS-F RM is faster than the R34 Skyline TC at TM and Spa at the same hp/weight. The margin wasn't that great though (1 second at Spa, less at TM), so I think it could be ironed out. The point being that the Skylines aren't that fast, you should try working one in.

In fact, I fear the IS-F may be too fast for the Evos and Imprezas, though I've never tried comparing them.

Sounds pretty cool. Keeping one eye on this thread.

With the two classes, what power ranges do you have (if any) in mind? Just a little curious.

I won't know until my testing is over.

Edit: What if we just did an "any car" race limited to 550pp?

Er, this may change slightly as far as the cars go. Instead of doing testing myself, I may just use something that's already in place and tested. I won't know until tomorrow though if we can use it, but I think you guys will like it. Stay tuned. ;)

Hey Jason.

Something different 👍 :)

I'd be interested in this and I'll also offer my services to help prepare cars for the event. As it's a one off enduro style race with fixed tyres it shouldn't be too difficult to get 6 cars close to equal in performance characteristics and tyre wear. Never a big fan of a set PP level with different cars unless it happens to work out. I would pick the cars you would ideally like to have out there, then set them either with PP, HP and weight or a combination of both, then just do the checks as cars enter the track prior to the race to ensure they're at spec'. Not too much work as it's only one race and would be worth it for the length chosen.

Let me know your thoughts,
Nige.

Hey Welsh. Honestly, you won't have to do any testing if Aderrrm gets back to me tomorrow. :)

If you catch my drift. ;)

I must decide on the car first! I must conduct my own little testing session. I'll have my sign-up by later today or tomorrow. Possibly later as I forget things a lot of times.

Saturday mornings are good with me, and Rm/Tc's are certainly good with me so sign me up!
Ill send FR tonight, I'm on PST time 👍

 Ballast and power limiter weren't enough? Kinda disappointing though, but oh well, moving on.

I'm thinking about that Maserati more. I have more experience driving that car in the first place. So I think I'll grab it, now I just need to choose a colour. :grumpy:
