Hi, been searching and can't find this. Does anyone know where to buy or download an english copy of this book. Thanks.

Ebay and a few torrent sites. There was one posted in the threads here but I had the same problem as everyone else. It would not allow a full download of a zip file. Only individual chapters but it was not complete. Ebay has one listed with the dvd but the book is in japanese.

Why waste your time and cash, just go have fun and drive to your limets in a semi slow car against faster cars until you need to buy a faster car, your skills will improve.

Two of the commandments are,
1) Though shalt not have a smart mouth when somebody asks a serious question.
2) Though shalt not run anything with less than 200 A spec points.

If you had just looked at google you would see that there is actually somethiing called the GT4 Bible. THank you again Parnelli.

Decided to buy a japanese version. Will get a friend to translate. Sorry for the double posting. Will watch it in future.👍

was that aimed towards me cause i was just playin if it was

In Australia, I was able to get a copy of said book, in a JB HIFI store in South Australia. It was on a clearance table for $20 Aust. I snatched it up.

The guys that spent over 40,000 hours of playing and testing to come up with the book deserve a huge 👍 as information from there was very helpful.

However nothing beats the experience and help from these guys on these forums, as you can ask a direct question and some-one would be nice enough to answer it for you, or point out a thread its been asked in before.

Good Luck finding a copy, being the game is 'OLD' in comparisson to what stores would be keeping now. (and yes I do know you can still by GT4 new however the book would be a lot harder to find).

I was having fun too. Thought I might invent 10 commandments, so please no hard feelings. Lets open this up and make up 10 commandments.
1) Thou should always strive to run 200 A spec per race.

Next anyone?

Easy!

2). Thou shalt not cheat!

I gotta disagree with commandment 1, however. The A-spec system is flawed imo. I've run races which rated just 7 or 9 points, yet were intense and challenging. And I've run 200 point ones which were a snap.

but whatever. Someone post the next commandment...

Yeah, I agree Parnelli but that why I put thou shalt strive....

So so far we got

1) Thou should always strive to run 200 A spec per race
2) Thou shalt not cheat! (unless its mission 34)
3) Thou shalt not road rage!
4) Thou shalt only worship 1 Real Driving Simulator

Agree so far with those? Or do you want any edited. I think we gotta allow number 2 to stand as is :sly:

Hey! Driving thru the grass in Mission 34 is not cheating! Think about it! PD altered the test for PAL players...making it 11 seconds easier! They did this because they screwed up! Made 34 too hard!

...of course, once I get M34, I'll be trying to do it without grass-cuts! :guilty::indiff:

I never said grass cutting was cheating. Parnelli, I feel for ya man. I finally got through 11, so I know how it is. Grass cutting is fine, its not cheating. And I would forgive you I am sure PD would as well. But Austin343 clearly states what cheating is. I trust ya anyway.

Well, I was being half jokey about that. Of course grass-cutting is cheating! So therefore I'm cheating in Mission 34 and I have broken my own commandment. But I still find it odd that they made the PAL version so much easier. And we're talkin' waaay easier. Usually, it's the other way around: the NTSC version is easier than PAL.

I watched daan's video the other day (of M34) and I noticed how "safe" his run is..with extra braking zones that I don't even consider. I'm taking corners way faster than he is..not because I want to but because I have to!

My best clean run is exactly 11 seconds too slow on M34... XD

Thou shalt not use Formula GT unless it is agianst other Formula GT's...

I know you were half joking. Looked at your replies for a long time and I am getting to understand your humour. No probs. I've looked at 34 and if I can cheat on it i'm gonna have to. But i'll never hit 100% 'cause I hate rallying.

just grab the escudo(or a 3000GT with 700 hp) hold down gas and bounce to victory, just don't hit any walls head on eh?...

...oh got a better one..

Thou shalt be allowed to wall slam to victory in crappy rallys... J/K

Wall slamming results in a penalty anyway. You have to gently get onto the wall, then make sure the wall riding itself is smooth, otherwise you'll get bitten by an invisible wall or something.

Thou shalt not use the Dodge RAM to get easy 200 A-spec points.

:P

I dont think we can allow wall slamming as it more than likely gets a penalty.
6) Thou shalt not use the Dodge RAM to get easy 200 A-spec points
And possibly,
7) Thou can give B spec Bob the bird when overtaking.

What ya all think. How many we going to or shall we just keep going till it reaches a natural end?
