GT4 Time Trial Series discussion

I've been contemplating and hesitating making this decision to start up a TT series, 'cause I haven't found a job yet, and I haven't done anything this summer to further my life along, yet.
So, I've decided to keep myself busy and I also would like to get back to racing, since I've become "addicted" to Android.
Also, my second place finish in the last GT4 series made me become hungry for another challenge.
This thread will be for brainstorming ideas that everyone will agree with.
I'll start:
6 race One-Make TT series
One race for each "class"
ex. DTM, Rally, Prototype, Street, Sports, etc...
Maybe 2 Rally, 1 P1, 1Touring, 1 Street, 1 Sports
A different course that goes with each class
Everyone uses same setup, car, etc...
Probably in Arcade Mode
A week for each race
Every time is added to final time, lowest total wins
License rules: 2 wheels on course at all times
No penalties, everyone uniform

Tracks and Cars: (feel free to say something)
Street: AE86, Seoul
Touring: JGTC, either Suzuka or Fuji
Sports: I don't know which cars yet but countries:
USA: New York
UK: ?
Japanese: Grand Valley
Supercar: Probably something like Sports, but with faster cars
Rally 1: Sports car, not official, Chamonix(can't spell)
Rally 2: Official, Tahiti Maze

The only reason I put the AE86 in is because it's perfect and my favorite.

There's a basic outline.
Everyone is invited, especially the guys from the last series.

In theory, it all seems fine to me, as the admin id say you get to decide the car/track combo's, it doesn't really bother me.

TT means one lap dash right?

This might get more traffic in the GT4 forum.

Sounds interesting! Just coming off vacation, so I haven't been around for awhile. I'd like to see how I fair in this setting, I am not really accustomed to switching vehicles that frequently.

I'll go along with whatever is outlined and voted on as the official layout for the TT. As for my schedule, I'll play it by ear.

n1nj4ofshr3d, hope you find a gig soon. It is rather harsh out there, but keep persevering. Good luck hunting!

I'm glad you guys are interested. And yes, the best lap counts, no limits on how much you race. I also figured that this could be a proper series, so this would be where it should go, in the series forum. Now I just need more people.

I would like to give this a go! I seams fun but although this is a series it would have way more traffic in the GT4 forum. I only notice this because it is in the main page of the forum since this is the last thread somebody posted in the Race Series and Time Trials forum.

heck yea, theres only 17 people who still play and they dont look in here.

And it's even worse now that this forum is gone from the main page.

EDIT: and it's back again.

If you want to get this off the ground n1nj4ofshr3d, figure out and anounce how many rounds and which car/ track combos are going to be used (edit 1st post as per necessary so it looks official). Then when your ready to roll post a new thread in the GT4 froum with a link to this one. Well thats what I'd do.

That is a good idea! It should work great.

If someone could move this thread to the GT4 section, that would great, so we can get more people involved. I'll probably really start working on this on Tuesday, 'cause if the holiday.
