I started playing GT4 and we all can tell a difference in the simulator game, I have not got on to a wheel and pedal! Does it make a difference? And Directions to a site for tips and tricks? And I still want my showroom?

Although opinions were mixed early on, the consensus has settled on wheels being better than the DS2 (note this is a majority opinion, not a unanimous opinion; some will still disagree).

As for directions to a site for tricks and tips? You're already there! Browse the stickied threads at the top of this forum, just below the links to the subforums. Two in particular to browse are the FAQs: this one and this one.

As for your showroom question/comment, I'm not sure what you mean.

In any case, welcome to GT Planet, and good luck with the game!

Welcome to GTPlanet Speeed!
By far the biggest thing you can do for fast laps is to practice, just 5 laps can take up to 5 seconds off of your times. And use the analog sticks for steering, braking, and acceleration. Easier to modulate.

That's affirmative, I just wanted to say a big 10-4 to ya-all! Thanks for your reply's and continued support! It looks good! Watch out for the 5-O. . .

I'd suggest that if you can find the Driving Force Pro wheel (which was badged for GT4), that you invest in it. I have had one since '05 when I got the game, and it has fully enriched my experience. It far outstrips the DS2 in "feel" which makes it worth it in my opinion, but I have also seen my times decrease across the board with the DFP.

Welcome to the forum.

+1 on the Driving Force Pro wheel. I just picked one up recently for cheap and it really makes the game fun. Be sure to use a sturdy stand to hold the wheel.

I think it would take a long time for me to go through all the chat when I can get around faster here, lets begin, on a 4wd with the vcd set to the stock, about 40% what would be the best setting for limited slip with out moving vcd???
