GT4 vs. Real Life(video)

I haven't seen that one. The one I saw before was a replay, with the timer visible, and you could see that the video speed had been adjusted to make it match the real-life video. (Some seconds took 1.5 or 1.6, some seconds took .8 or so.) Cool effect visually, but it was bogus.

This one, I can't say that, because you can't read the timer. It's really hard to believe that level of unison could be accomplished accidentally, though, or by coincidence, but I'm not accusing. (Maybe he had a monitor of the other video to keep pace with, although I can't image looking at anything but the game screen while driving the 'ring.)

Interesting.

First, I just can't believe that the driver of that Porsche would go around a track at that level of agression without even a helmet.

Second, it is amazing how much more elevation change there is in the real track compared to what is seen in GT4. I wonder why that is?

Oh, that's the Stefan Roser video when he was in the Yellowbird. The reason the video keeps up so well is because he hit some traffic in several areas.

Seeing that the last post was since JULY!!, I wouldnt go that far back and bump, and get flamed. So done blame me, plus I searched real life, and mostly physics and pictures.

There's no doubt that visually, GT4 is an excellent simulation.

I have 17 years of experience in real racing, but just 3 weeks of GT & console racing and I am still learning this new art. Therefore, I am keen to hear from those of you on this forum who race in Real Life and what you think of how realistic this game is.

Cool! However you can see that real life video is sometimes slightly cut to match gt4. That guy in Porsche was a little bit slower, we could have probably seen quite a difference after 1 lap if it hadnt been adjusted.
