Quick guide to replay checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Sports - Softs and that the power is 376 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

As expected :(

A whole second off the expected pace. But then again, with a single 10-lap session, I couldn't expect much more. Need to invest more time next week in that sweet Mitsi...

Darren, it's not rust, it's cracks. Know the Sabra Roadster, or the Susitas? Those things are plastic - Israelis crack, they don't rust :P

Oh!!! The cruelty of my result :sly: Twas a fun race this week Jerry. Congrats to the podium places. Particular congrats to Sjaak who is super-div-one-worthy in my opinion ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

.001 is cruel indeed. I thought the cutoff for silver was going to be 1:19 flat. I woke up early for work to try and shave .023 off, and learned that I'm not very good at GT straight out of bed. Next time I'll try it after a cup of coffee- I've read it works well for others on here.๐Ÿ‘

For me the Lotus liked to be driven a certain way- check up early, turn in quickly, get neutral, easy on exit without too much steering input, easy to get this thing understeering. On tighter turns I could use the throttle and the boost to pivot the back, but speed-killing wheelspin would crop up if I wasn't carful. Really had to watch the rumbles under full power as well.

Great turnout this week, wicked fun.

Congrats to all the tops ๐Ÿ‘

Very nice Sjaak and Niels, I guess I needed more than a drunken dash :dopey: still don't think i would have caught either of you, and a nice one from 2078tm as well.

Well done to the division winners Sjaak and Onlyme, and all who submitted ๐Ÿ‘

I personally never liked this combo one bit and will keep it in my mind for future combo's anywhere I race ... just how bad this car is and to avoid it at all costs :yuck:

I dont usually race on the kerbs also at Midfield but with it being allowed I had no option but to use them to race the opposition as we never know just how fast our competition is ... in a nutshell i'm not very proud of this replay but it goes on youtube with the others anyway :indiff:

I'll upload my .max save for scrutiny over the next few days ๐Ÿ‘

here's my vid anyway ...

Cheers
Ron.

Nice run. I learned that I need to slow down to go faster.

As far as curb usage/overrun goes, this is racing. As in real racing, if the rules allow it, someone will use it to their advantage, so you sort of have to go along to compete. I thought for this car and this track running in the concrete was more than acceptable-if it were real I think real cars would be doing the same thing. Most racing I've watched they use every inch of pavement available that will not upset the car.

Congrats to all winners! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

hmm, think I'm going to download Mr P's replay when it's up, so i can spend
the weekend figuring out how to gain over a full second on this combo :D
And you didn't even like this combo very much...

I'm happy though, expectations weren't high :)

Here's my PAL replay

Congrats to Ron for the win, Sjaak for the overall second place ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ and OnlyMe for his division win.

I liked the Lotus all right, and Midfield is always nice to race, so thanks to Jerry for the race.

Woohoo!! First gold and first division win for me :D !!! Beer's on me, guys  It was close, though. Bigrew was only .026 behind! That's what? About the width of the headlampwipers? :scared:

I really liked this car (and the track as well), shame I only had one night to spend on it. Really suited my style of driving :sly:

Congrats to all other division winners and all participants. I'll put up my replay when I get home tonight!

That was the margin last time we competed in Div3 - about the length of the Takata's many front wings.

Congrats to Ron ,nice run mate ๐Ÿ‘
And OnlyMe,the first win is always the nicest

Thanks Colby for the comments, and congrats with your results pic.

It was a fun combo,to bad I didn't save my first laps with the lotus.
I was all over the place, seeing every wall up close.:dopey:

I don't care for the 'sidewalks' much either, and even though I knew I could use them, I didn't. Not by design, just force of habit I guess.

Thanks for posting the vids Ron ๐Ÿ‘ You might not be particularly fond of this one but your lines and brake points taught me quite a bit, and I thought I already new midfield by now. :dopey:

Here is my replay, excellent work with the videos Mr P!

Very educational! :)
