Nice one, i like the fact that we are using a 90's car on a 90's track 👍

Hum well im weak on lmp's so this may help me but im using TSC... does that make me a wimp lol :(

Splits:
17.451
33.701
52.190

lots to come if i can run smooth and maybe with out TSC

A few laps using tcs also :scared:

17.081 / 32.934 / 51.004

It's defo gonna be a tcs week for me as I tried it without for 2 laps and the tyre skid is there for every gear and what a horrible noise! :P not sure if it will be the same with the wheelers but for me ... I gotta have some sort of grip :dopey:

Pretty cool and easy combo though 👍

Hi Gents,

Who would have thought that my inaugural WRS-race would be in a car which seems to be a cross between R2D2, a rabbit and a Singer :dopey:
This car is insane  .... quite good fun though 👍

17.002 // 32.529 // 50.169 // 1'....... :scared:

Did I mention TCS turned ON? 💡

Cool splits, Ron 👍
This will probably go down as a battle of thousands :scared:

Cheers, Hekke.

Great! Racer, Fuji, slicks. The Pug has the rep for having the slowest gear shift in the game tho ... excited to see how it handles. Let's race! 👍

Hold on tight!!!!

This looks like a riot. 👍

EDIT:
After a couple of laps
0'17.783 / 0'33.954 / 53.089

I have never understood why it takes a good part of a second to get into the next gear? ...

Very interesting car/track combo.
This car always got on my nerves at the gtrp because its stats are off and so it runs against the McLaren F1. :banghead: Easily kills the F1 on the Ring and so my efforts in the F1 were eclipsed by the 905. :ouch:

Oh well, atleast this spot race uses the 905 properly. Very good selection sphinx. 👍

I dont think I will be as close as I would like to be Hekke! but I will try to stay within half a second by the weeks end if possible :) some more laps and upped the auto from 400 - 420 👍

17.009 / 32.800 / 50.653 ( had a few 32.6's so there's hope yet :P )

On the subject of the cars looks ... I drive in kiddy view ( behind the car ) and it looks pretty crazy  it actually looks like some sort of mini spacecraft with a see through dome and I can actually see him driving it with his glittery silver sleeves and his big grey ET shaped head haha

.. I best lay off the juice whilst driving I guess ;)

I drive in kiddy view ( behind the car )

It freaking cracks me up every time you call it that. I still don't know how you drive like that, and run the laps you do.:ill:

Been racing that view since GT1 mate .. I'm kind of set in my ways ;) 👍

Found a little bit more .. 17.025 / 32.864 / 50.436 :)

First 45min session for today, no more OT at work now I can play 👍

410 Gearing, shifting a tad early
T1 - :17.011 (great)
T2 - :32.988 (saw a 32.7 but took it too wide and too fast)
T3 - :50.864 (feeling okay)
Final - Happy so far another few tenths to pick up on the way

Truly one of my favorite combos since I've been doing the WRS for the past almost 3 years now...woah :)
Guess I'll start Luxy for the week

Jerome

Had a go at this combo earlier and came up with these times.

17.536
34.494
53.346

Using 400 gearing now.

Whoa! I have never been much for the LMP's either! I cleared this car out of the favorites list of an ubersave just yesterday and had to pause on it due to the sheer awesomeness of it for a lack of a better word. Definitely could use some quicker shifting but I think there are ways around that. Also surprising is gearing selection. The norm is not working for me with this set-up.

390
t1-17.649
t2-34.202
t3-52.770

ugh, I had to b-spec some races at 3x speed to quickly get some credits to buy this car. I spend way too much on collecting Fiat 500's and VW R32's and Lotus Elise's.

t1: 18.271
t2: 35.910
t3: 56.004

Its amazing how much time you can pick up with seemingly minor corrections. I was braking too late for the last chicane and getting a lot of wheelspin. I did the next lap about the same, up by about .2 at t2. When I got to the chicane I didn't brake too late and avoided too much wheelspin, it wasn't perfect, but much better. That got me 1.2 seconds at the finish.

First 10 laps last night - got to get used to the stickyness of the car. How not to lift in the big righthander without crashing into the wall ... but like Michael says, just have faith :scared:

Thanks to Jerome for setting up Luxy - updated now EDIT updated up to post 19

18.197 - 35.402 - 55.264 - booh so slow but not even DLBF :ill:

Michael - better watch your capitals :)

Michael - better watch your capitals :)

I thought you wanted to move on from this, but it seems what you really want is to keep having the odd dig here and there, like always.

You got a warning, big deal. Get over it.

You got a warning, big deal. Get over it.

And it's not like it was even a Warning with a big "W".

Some quick laps and I'm at:
17.023
32.909
50.868

A lot to be improved. I used top speed 480 (only using 3rd, 4th and 5th gears so that I don't shift more than necessary) and TCS. No TCS doesn't seem too bad with this gear setup, I'll try it more seriously later.

Holy bat crap Robin...........More car than I can handle. :scared:

19.005
37.522
57.441

I'll keep at it but when do you breath with this thing!

Don't worry, you have enough time to breath while shifting :sly: Since this category of cars, when over 300kmh, don't allow you any distracion.

Was over at Kenny's again this afternoon and we like CMir's 480 gearing though these t times are not with those gears. I did these at home last night with 400 top speed.

18.822
36.841
56.155

18.109
35.862
55.590

I agree with you CMir 100%, no distractions with this one. Absolute focus is a must for sure. Now that I've gotten over the shock of this thing it really is quite fun. There are several areas for me to work on (duh!) and I'm hoping to set a really good time for DivIII this week. Only time will tell eh?

17.484
34.766
54.662

Hey George, pretty nice first efforts from one of the "Nutmeg boys."

Edit: Wow, I didn't realize my first sector was quite that quick. I guess I'm really losing it in the 3rd sector for sure.

Been much too long since I did one of these.. Uni finally got busy..

T1: 17.451
T2: 33.780
T3: 52.461

420 gearing, and this car is forcing me to use manual gears for once! Auto is just no good..

Oh, and no TCS either, just out of principle ;)

Wow, from a nice Sunday drive in an elan to... well, a spacecraft :sly: Once the shock wore off I settled into some ok laps. If it was not for the strange gearbox this car would surely be the fastest in the game

Using the 90's version of the track is quite the challange Jerry 👍

I'm not done driving for the afternoon so I'll get some proper splits up in a bit, for now I'm around 52.4 t3, broke out of my 5 point harness and needed to take a pit.

EDIT: Woops, almost forgot to post some splits, just fired up the ps2 again so here's where I'm at so far...

17.213
33.462
51.502

As soon as I come to terms with the off camber right before t2 and clean a few more things up I'll be in business. 430 top speed w/ tcs

First splits before sleep time :sly:

t1/ 0.17.553
t2/ 0.34.125
t3/ 0.52.538

430, manual (for the first time ever since I started playing GT4...), tcs on :scared:

luxy
EDIT updated up to post 29 30. Nice division spread so far!
reEDIT a 10 min. sitdown gave a small improvement but with confidence for more to come: 17.785 - 34.711 - 54.643
Ron it's over to you again; tic-tac 👍

Could only manage a small improvement.

t1: 17.817
t2: 35.322
t3: 55.467

Using 400 gearing, no TCS.

Been running the FormulaGT in Extreme Hall the last couple days so I should get some better times once I've come to grips with the high speed. Finding the spots to not come off the throttle at all is key I think. That and to not oversteer while shifting coming out of certain turns.
