Short and sweet: Congrat to holl01 for his comeback win in div1, Strop for winning div2, and Andy2125 for winning div3. Well done to all who took part. Thanks to arora for this weeks pic.

Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

Please Note:
I will update this post during the week to include any posted replays and also keep track of which replays have been checked and by whom.

Quick Guide To Replay Checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing – Medium and that the power is 719 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

Congrats to all the gold times, and to the winners-Holl01 for destroying the field, Strop for burning the midnight oil, and Andy2125 for pulling almost a second over the rest of D3.
Nice work!

I spent more time than I care to mention trying to figure this beastly week out. Great job running me down, CMir, I'm thinking you pulled me through the final chicane. Ran as low as 1:23.0xx but not clean.

Excellent week Sphinx, thanks. I learned a bunch.

Congrats to all the golds

Thats a sick time Dan  Even when your not happy with your lap you still rip it Hugo 👍 Nice one Cmir, solid that 👍

Congrats to all who managed not to burn all the rubber of the rims this week :sly:

Once again amazing times, especially considering what a handful this car was on the track. Congratulations not only to the winners but everyone who stuck it out to the end, the times were pretty close overall. I spent waaaay too much time on this one, but was determined not to let it get the better of me (or I wasn't going to sleep last night).

Can't wait to see Zurg's replay, there's clearly a space time continuum tear that I was driving right past without noticing :D

was determined not to let it get the better of me (or I wasn't going to sleep last night).

I noticed that! I packed it in at 3:30. Hope your day today was better than mine. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ:drool:

Hmm, I knew I should have done a few more runs. I just held myself back because I knew it would cause more frustration than success.

Anyways, congrats to everyone that won their divisions, and all "gold" achievers in general.👍

Congrats to all gold this week it was a hard one, i only just scraped gold my self for the first time.

I'll have my replay up within 24 hours...

Also id like to say to strop that we must of just about been on top of each other in car terms, i wish i keep trying for the 1'06.5xx which i had a couple times.

QUIK!

I missed out 01GTP's submission. Sorry, mate. :dopey:

Was going to ask about that, but I was thinking you would figure it out. :sly:

Anyhow, what a fantastic combo! Congrats to all the golds and congrats to all who managed a clean lap for this week, it was no easy challenge. :nervous:

I think the difficulty of this combo was showcased by the fact that only one driver managed to perform better than any drivers in the next division up (Andy).

Some tight racing all around and a great turnout for this challenging combo. Let's make it 2 in a row, with 20+ turnout for rally. 👍

Kevin

Congrats to all that had podium finishes in they're respective divisions, especially all the golden runs. Those are some tight times through the divisions.

Carefull Andy, thats only .3 behind D1. Great run man.

I've just realized, that while I was saving a ghost lap for next week's WRS, I needed some space on my mem card so I saved over my replay for this week. I really hope the 2 gold winner have clean replays, because I have nothing.

:banghead:

Wow, an undeserved silver for me this week. Good for signature points ...

Congrats to all winners and on to the dirt of Yosemite - WRS should be Ron territory this week as he's always very fast off road 👍

Congratulation to all participants this week, and especially to all gold times and div winners!!

Big thumbs up for Andy al well!! Still a bit wet behind the ears, but already his first win 👍 And with a super-time as well!! Way to go buddy!!!

I'm looking forward to watching your replay tonight after which I'll post it for you.

As for me, I'm taking this week off, as I really despise the rally in the Gran Turismo games. See you guys in week 153!

Thanks for the compiments! And congratulations to for all my fellow division winners (how nice to be able to something like that :P)

I spend more time too this combo then I normally will do, but I just knew I could do better after every session :).

Great race  And a 1st place for me on the "mortal division" :D Incredible times, but could we expect anything else from Dan and Hugo?

Here's Andy's replay for your reviewing pleasure. I checked it with him just a minute ago and though there's a close call just after T2, imo it's green and clean!!! Very impressive lap for someone who's been racing for just 5 weeks. Way to go buddy 👍

Kindly Verified clean by Cmir.

QUIK!

It was certainly close, we were .001 apart at T2 and then I finished about a car length ahead at the line. I knew it was a good run at that point so I really went for broke on the finish, and it actually took a bit of wrestling as it got a bit tail happy on entry to the final straight.

It was my best time of the night by a mile and watching the replay was harder than racing, there were definitely a few heart check moments in there where I got very close to the walls.

How long to spend trying is a tough call, I did three sessions on Sunday and gained nothing at all from the third session. I was debating whether or not to try again Monday night but as things turned out I had the time so I went racing. After three hours of hoping it would all come together I'd managed to push my time down but only to 1:25.6xx from the earlier 1:25.9xx. It seemed like my T1 was getting faster and faster (was seeing 27.3xxx) and my finishes were improving overall but T2 was getting slower and slower (my second best run had a 1:07.3xx T2).

Then this lap happened, and I went to bed a very happy camper. Replay should be up tonight.

Hey guys..

Decide to help out a fellow friend and here is the replay from GTPlanet's residential alien ;)

Grabbing your replay Strop, will edit response.

Clean with the correct specs.
Nice driving.!!!!
As I, you may drag your foot on the gas pedal on most corners (could be on pupose). You were decisive with your foot work though, as I seemed to use both pedals for most of the lap. The way you took the section from the R/R tracks through T2 was great. I also used TCS as I had problems with the Vette going sideways too much.

Thanks for checking. The dragging of the foot on the gas pedal is something I'm not sure about, I used to drive with one foot and since I've been driving with left foot braking I'm not as clean off the gas as I should be.

Sometimes it is a good thing though as it rotates the back end around for a corner without losing much speed. I doubt that I'm skilled enough to claim that level of control though :D

As for TCS ... I don't normally use it but man I was ready to kill my PS2 until I turned it on and I kept telling myself I'd turn it off when I stopped hitting the walls ... but never ended up going back.

I second the vote for Holland's replay for us NTSC folks. I want to see how he does it (i.e. does he bend the ankle and use the whole foot as he kicks butt :D)

LOL!!! nice one Strop.

I would put it on You Tube but I don't have the tools to do it. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on some though, I have a video card but I've never used it and now I can't find it :nervous: ..

I took time to check the PAL replays:

Quik - Clean 👍
Andy - Clean 👍
Holl - Couldn't load :banghead: Same problem I often have, it's probably too good to be watched :sly: Unfortunately, this means I won't be able to make a video of this lap :(
