Quick Guide To Replay Checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing - Medium and that the power is 495 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

Congrats DJ Baker for the win.
You have fast laps here each time so this is well deserved.
Well done to the other golds also, especially Bart.

Great laptime DJ 👍

I hope you have a PAL replay, so I can watch it too. :P

I think he uses the NTSC version.

Congrats to DJ Baker and Onlyme for div specific wins!

I'm kind a dissapointed that there were no submissions from any D1 driver.
That might have upset the D2 times as the div specific time limits for
gold/silver/bronze are based on times submitted, not actual car limits.:grumpy:
I know my lap was not perfect, but I was hoping to atleast break the gold limit.:ouch:

My first overall win... Sweet! :D

Granted, it was largely due to a total lack of interest from D1 particiants. :boggled: I'll take it any way I can get it though.

Thanks for the props, & kudos to everyone that took the time to put some laps in at The Green Hell this week.

NTSC replay attached.

Congrats to all the golds.

Mr Baker - that's a hell of a lap - and I'm sure it would have held up well even if all the D1's were participating 👍

:ouch::ouch::ouch: I missed the deadline before having a go for a clean run. I have one lap with inside 2 wheels 2mm of the track at the last corner:guilty: Anyway, that lap was something like 6'12.xxx. Congrats to DJ. I will love to watch his replay when I get a chance.

Congrats to all who once again succeeded in surviving the magnificent Nurburgring. Kudos to all gold drivers and off course to DJ for his overall win!!

Here's my replay:

Great runs from both of you, and completely different driving styles.

My style is closer to DJ's, and I could almost keep up with him until T6.

That's the thing about this track. The section from the first carousel to the finish separates the men from the boys. I always worry too much about crashing, or I end up crashing because I'm pushing it too much. And as it was, I was just trying to get below 6:30, let alone below 6:20.

But not to take away from the accomplishments. Again, great job, guys.

Thanks for checking the replays Kevin.

I really enjoy trying get the most out of a car or bike at The Ring. I usually start fairly conservatively, concentrating on good lines & learning the car. Then I pick a few places at a time to push. It eventually gets pretty tough to find slight improvements & still get everything else mostly right, but I enjoy the process. The Ring is the reason that I bought a PS2 in the first place. I never get bored with it. Can't wait to drive & or ride it for real someday. I've been around it as a passenger with a Porsche Development Engineer / Racer which was very cool, but I won't be satisfied until I eventually do it myself. In the meantime, I'll keep practicing/dreaming thanks to GT4 & TT.

Thanks for checking EDK. I'm glade you like the "gold feature films". Long ones, aye?

What's the first thing you noticed between the two driving styles?

I'll check OnlyMe's PAL replay within a few hours (after work).

You were a little smoother and more careful to avoid rumbles. DJ also stayed off the rumbles up until the first carousel, if I remember right. If you have a chance, you should watch his replay to see how he handles the section from the Carousel to T10. It's something to see. 👍

But the main thing was the pedal work. DJ is mostly on the brake, or on the gas. You had overlap between the pedals in a lot of areas. I'm sure it helps stabilize the car and keep it on the ground on some of the bumpier sections of track. Also helps consistency in cornering speed.

I try to avoid it, especially since playing GT5:P. Hence my comments on the similarity of my style with DJ's. I used the rumbles more than both of you put together. I found with the AWD, it helped pull the car around a lot of corners, or that was my perception, anyhow.

OnlyMe's lap is nice and clean with the correct specs. Well done! 👍

Yep. That works good in a sim. Not sure what it would do in race car. It does work ok at my local indoor kart track.
For GT, both DSP pedals together will help load the suspension, plus allow me to slow the entry speed and yet keep the rpms up for the exit speed. Thanks again. 👍

Is there someone who want to enjoy 2078TM's NTSC replay.

Would love to do it myself, but I am pal, never seen how the man races.

Bill,do yo have a PS3?

I will watch 2078's replay in a moment.

EDIT; The replay is clean with 496 hp and RM/RM tires.

Good driving, Bill.
It looked as though some spots early in the lap you were not too sure which gear to be using (3rd, 4th, ?).
The slide between the 4 and 5 minute mark was pretty cool and worked out well for the corner too.

Well done on the Green Hell.

Bill, lets hope for better times then, also for all who don't have a PS3 at the moment.

I bought a PS3 just for GT5P and I think it was worth every penny.
I am a GTjunky and all besides it,the internet, contacts were also important facts to buy one.

Hope to see you,and all who are in the same boat, soon in the GTP_WRS.

Replay wise: 2078TM's replay is green, thanks Kenny for the check.

Thanks all for the help in the replaychecking.
