i just saw that GT pro saw how tough things can be here in the WRS... wasen´t he the guy that challenge the aliens? yes, is very tough, we see this happening all the time... you only know how do you stack up against the world after you join competitions like this...

Silver D2 on my first WRS for a while....quite pleased! Only put 1 hour into this challenge aswell as it was quite easy to get upto speed I thought.

What a grueling week for me. Spent WAY too many hours chasing HUNDRETHS of a second. I really blew the lap that I had posted splits for. Actually went T2 of 42.631" on my submitted lap. Finish on my T2 42.472 lap was 1'00.590! If I had only finished faster on that one lap...

Shockwave 'ol buddy, you got me back good for last week! :^)

Damn Minor, really pipped me at the end there! Great, tight finish grouping this week...

Should have tried just ONE more lap, and another, and maybe another...

BTW, pretty good overall ranking with very little Divisional overlap. Looks like the classification is correct overall!

Pardon me if I wasn't following but what a "silver" color means and why/how do you give it? Does it have any effect on the points distribution?

Very fun car and track combo. I couldn't get the first two turns down, but I think the rest of my lap was pretty good. And thanks, Sphinx, great time as well

*EDIT* I posted the wrong replay earlier, here is the correct one, along with the SPS version in case the max version doesn't wanna work (I'm using a sharkport)

*EDIT 2* This is apparently still the wrong one I'll try to get the right one up this afternoon, stupid sharkport

*EDIT 3* These should be the right replays. I moved all of my other replays to my 2nd memory card and left only the one I need. Please let me know if it works

I have two different replays with the same time so,please,pick one.

T2 splits were 41.020 and 41.093.

260 and 270 speeds give me more power for the last turn.
I could never keep up my ghost with higher speedsettings.

Same here Dave, about an hour spent on it and I got silver

Not checked out this weeks race yet, but If I'm doing it (and I probably will, judging by the title) then I promise to spend more than an hour on it...
maybe 65 mins instead

I actually had 2 laps with identical finishes. I'll post the prettiest one later.

That's okay Steve, I deserve it. Until I can get a reasonable time without spending 30 hours on an event, I really don't deserve the finishes I'm getting! :^) I think, however, that a lot of the time when I lost a lot of time in the last sector it was due to not only mucking up the last corner but having crappy top speed on the back straight due to a weak kink corner entry.

Oh well, another week, another silver.

We'll see if I have time to fully commit to this weeks event.

Now I need some MAJOR HELP!!!!!!

I'm trying to copy my replay onto the MaxDrive and it's doing nothing. These are my steps as follows:

1. Inserted Maxdrive Card
2. Turned PS2 on and inserted MaxDrive disk
3. Selected Max Saves, then My Devices and set Memcard 1 as primary
4. Selected replay to copy, set to copy to MaxDrive
5. Still waiting for it to copy (30 minutes later)

Any ideas?

I wonder how the results would've been if I had spent some more time on it this week. I think I must've spent some decent time during my first two sessions though, to come up with such a result.

I just wanted to get this posted up somewhere, as I hadn't expressed my thanks for the awesome week 45 racing yet. Now that I'm uploading my replay for this week, I went ahead and uploaded my 245GLT lap as well, but to my dismay the week 45 results thread was closed... Anyway, here's my ghost for the 245 if anyone's interested. I wish Rob and Kent would've submitted their times in the cars they drove though, I was looking forward to hearing how they'd done!

I dunno man, it appears you're doing everything correctly... Normally it takes less than 10 seconds to copy the file over to the maxdrive USB stick. Make sure you have the USB Maxdrive stick in the PS2 before you start it up with the Maxdrive disc in it, that seems to make a difference I think. But maybe it was already like that when you tried it. I dunno man, keep trying!

Jake, two 👍 for a clean lap! DFP I assume? Nice and smooth, and an interesting way to drive, full throttle the whole time!

Thanks for checking... Just as an experiment I floored the throttle for the entire lap and feathered the brake only. It kept the engine revs high enough to give me good acceleration out of the corners. I know it's kind of a hack, so I feel guilty for that driving method, but I couldn't beat my time any other way! So I guess if it works, it's good!

about 5 hours went into that time (approx 300 laps)
