Please note that the results are still unofficial. Some racers have been PMing their times to MisterWeary, and all PMs have not been forwarded to me yet. Don't rush on your PM box, the deadline is past (passed ?) and it's already too late.

Edit : Colby's confirmed iceman's and jake's submissions, so the results are now official.
Congrats to icemanshooter23 and sausages for their division wins (both might run in the same division soon ;) ) and big congrats to EC6_GUY who ran a fast div2 time while being in div3. 👍

My submission to MisterWeary from yesterday:

Iceman - 0'47.875 - Div1 -Ds2

Post #1 edited, and I PMed MisterWeary to have remaining PMs forwarded. Results will stay unofficial as long as I haven't heard from him.

I hope Rob (Randy) wasn't online tonight, it must be hard to see your name on top of the leaderboard for 10 minutes only :(

well, I didnt lose to anybody from div 2 so far... never though Div 3 would be there though.
To bad Weary won't be back till thurs.
To all who beat me
I probly ran more laps than most, just couldnt get anything, I still have no idea where Iceman got .4 on me :scared:
good racing to all, very close week

Added jake's time too.
The * next to the driver's name shows the times for which I need confirmation from MisterWeary that they've been submitted to him before deadline.

47.8 seconds??? Well done iceman. I was struggling to get clean 48's and gave up in the end, had to submit early as I've been away for a few days too. That's no excuse though, I think I only managed half a second on my first clean run from tuesday before submitting sunday morning.

Well done everyone, it's still only 5.5 seconds from first to last place so far.

Now I've just got to work out how to divide my time between the GT4 and TT WRS's. :P

Thanks for holding the fort Colby, you've done a great job these past couple of weeks.

Darren.

LeadSlead#2
what happened to DUNDA's time?
Perhaps submitted to MisterWeary, as icemanshooter23, jake73 and several others did.
Not everything has been forwarded to me before deadline, since Colby seems to be away ATM (and it's early morning in Australia).

Flat-out
I'm rather puzzled by your time, EC6_GUY : it's as fast as LeadSlead#2's who ran the qualifier 4.2 secs faster than you. But since it'll probably remain a gold time, a replay will be requested .

This week's race was right up my alley. It's quick lap times and super car allowed me to reach my limits and retain the information on how I got there. My WRS qualifier time came after a long break from GT. Now that I'm back in the swing of things, I hope to keep improving my lap times.

When you see my replay, you'll notice that I never took my foot off the accelerator, and used the brakes to modulate my speed. This is not the correct way to do things, but it got the job done for me in this race.

I look forward to WK63, where I'm sure I'll be well back in the standings.:mischievous:

It's a technique myself and many other drivers use. In GT4 it seems to result in faster times for some circuits 👍

Colby's gone on a school camp. So he won't be back till tomorrow or the next day.

Hey Casio,

I didn't much time in this week, but I did manage 45 minutes or so last night only to shave 0.040" or so. Didn't figure it'd make any difference!

Great close finish...

0.002! I didn't see that!

Had it coming I guess from a couple of weeks ago when I beat Shockwave by 0.002 (week 59).

I only ran 30 minutes the whole week. So I'm happy that I didn't come last 👍

I assume it is most effective on circuits when traction is not a concern?

I guess this is another time where GT fails to simulate actual racing techniques.:nervous:

Not completely wrong. Left foot braking can help, but usually it's in the context of turbocharged cars. In this case I think it's because full braking without gas would reduce speed too quickly so you'd be going slower at a given point in the track than you'd need to to keep the correct radius. Full gas and left foot brake for slowing gradually is easier than feathering off the gas and feathering on the brake simultaneously.

It does NOT work where max braking into a hairpin type regular brake-turn-gas corner is concerned...

That makes sense i suppose, and I could see this could work in real life.

icemanshooter23
It also helps keep a car on a steady and smoother line.

"on turn in" is what the rest of your post should have said...

Giddyup for this weeks race then 9th fastest splits on the leaderboard yet 3rd overall, DFP wasn't so bad afterall, will have my replay up in a jiffy...

my replay below...

Congrats to all the winners/gold/podiums

I'm sure DUNDA submitted and will have beaten my time, but I'll enjoy my spot while it lasts :dopey:

I liked the theory about this being a race where you reach your limit early on and submit, but I couldn't resist going back again for another effort (or ten) anyway :sly:

Well this has been a nice surprise. Been away for orientation since Monday, and I check online to find out that I've got gold. Considering that I've only ever submitted two times formally, it'll be interesting to see where I am at the end of the summer.

Hopefully by Saturday when I'm home I'll post a replay for everyone.

I see that everybody's become lazy while I was too busy to take care of everything. 8 replays posted and not a single one checked.

Here is EG6_GUY's replay converted from .sps to .max

I think we've all been a bit lazy while you weren't around to crack the whip Cryil? :)

I've not had any green flags for my replays yet. :(

At least you're back with us now, I'm sure it won't take long to get us all back into shape. Boot camp style. :sly:
