Dan comes back from his (fake) retirement to claim another WRS overall win, and Tannis grabs second place. BC is over guys, the fast chaps are back on track :P
Casio wants to make sure that everybody knows how bad he hates the Ring, that must have been really boring Brad.
Both drivers promoted to div 2 are on the podium next to boombexus (for those who still don't know, boombexus is the guy who decided, on a certain day of february 2003 to post a new series called the Weekly Race Series.)
As for div 3, I decided not to round the gold/silver cut-off time because InsaneRacer was only 0.004 ahead.
Congrats to all of them and to those who reached the finish line.

Oh, one last thing :
opendriver19a submitted his T times only and hasn't saved his replay, which results in a DQ.
Similar situation for shockwaveracing (only T time submitted), but he still has a chance to post a replay that matches this T time.
Edit :
shockwaveracing's time has been accepted (one-digit typo) and a replay is requested.
Edit 2 :
that same time has been removed on shockwave's request, see one of the posts below.

Flat-out
Nice avatar Darren, :P

Almost as cool as mine

Damn. I was hoping to drag the gold and silver cut-off times down enough so everyone had to submit a replay....My plan failed....

EDIT: Oh. I forgot the old typo comp. BTTW's time needs a Zero and your old favorite (I've seen this one about 7 times now)
shows that the submitted lap turned out to be dirty ou doubtful.

I ignored your time in the calculation Brad.
But it would have the opposite effect : of course it would have increased the average time (from 5'49.443 to 6'58.526), but it would have increased the standard deviation much more, resulting in cut-off times far from the average (4'16.464 for Gold and 9'40.587 for Bronze), so that everybody would have been silver and you bronze.
That's the good thing about the use of a standard deviation : each time is weighted so that it can only drag the results towards the average, not away from the average.

Nice try Brad :sly: Did you do it in reverse or in first gear or something??? That Barbie avatar looks great too 👍

Here's my replay

P.S Here's babelfish's interpretation of Minolta's post above mine:

Minolta_88
Indeed mine compliments for Holl... 5,40!!! Unfortunately for this session I have turned little and I have not had time for making a time decent... I was on the 5,44 clearly migliorabile dirt, could make 5.43basso or 5.42alto very well but unfortunately too much little time... Large Cmq holl, you have made the difference

I love Babelfish :)

Bit of both. You see lots of interesting areas going the other way.

migliorabile = improvable
basso = low
alto = high

So he ran a dirty 5'44 that could easily have been improved to make a low 5'43 or high 5'42.

BTW, Curtis had a 5'42 that he didn't submit.

great combo, anyone want a video made of this lap? i can get gpkart to make a vid. cheers:tup:

i'd love to see it.
world-class performance. 👍

maybe i'd learn something... since i was able to run 5'45 all day long, but was hitting a wall. I never saw sub 3min @ T6 or any 5'44's (dirty or not)

but i must say i'm quite pleased to be within 5 seconds after 14 miles.

EG6_GUY
 Congrats InsaneRacer! Great job!!
So, weren't you in D3 a couple weeks ago? :sly: Knew it man, just knew it... Well done!

My faster clean lap was a 5'58.8xx but I erased the replay so I couldn't submit it. That was done in my first hour session for the week's race, and I knew I had another 5 seconds in the race if I could put something together, but I didn't spend enough time on the race to get it... :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: Very disappointing, but that's what I get for not taking it seriously.

Brad, that's an AWESOME lap time! Great job man!

EDIT: Cyril, about your post in the race thread after I said I didn't have a lap to submit, I had to leave for work. I thought I was going to be late, but luckily made it in time. If only I didn't go to bed so late last night I could've gotten up early and done one... I should've anyway! Dangit! :)

sorry Flat-Out, it was a 5'47.328 and not a 4'47.328 that i submitted :ouch: i am a dunce, my T9 time was a 4'34.xxx, cant remember off the top of my head the exact time though... middl;eof the pack wasn't too bad, nearly put the DFP through a window during the 2 weeks of this race...

oh and Brad, that was a SMOKING time that you delivered there champ... :sly:

Yikes! Some great times there - congratulations everyone

I put quite a bit of effort into this one, even though I didn't manage more than about 4 totally clean laps :ill:
At one point I couldn't even make it to the start of the lap without repeatedly smacking into the barrier or running wide :banghead: - and I hate those first three corners...

I hear that! The ring is cool but I'm over it for a little while :D

You win the Mr. Smart-ass comp, Brad :)

shockwaveracing : your time is in, but as always with typos, I'm expecting a replay.

SuperT
Beat you to it Laurence. :D Another week at the end of the division, shame its the wrong end. :) At least I've finally managed to beat one of the aliens. :sly:
Yeah, I've been next-to-last in Div. 2 almost every single week since I got promoted from Div. 3 after week 53... Trying to remember exactly why I was excited at being promoted? :boggled: :sly:

Did it get stuck in 3rd gear? I hear those 'Vettes can do that sometimes. :D Oughta get that checked out by a qualified mechanic... :sly:
Freakin' hilarious, man! Way to protest!! 👍

Yes!!! Video!!! I can't play your darn replays because you're PAL and I'm NTSC, so YES I want a video so I can see your driving for myself, and for the very first time ever! :D

And congrats on your "comeback" win, too. ;)

Well. American build quality. What can I say?

(Covers head and runs....)

it appears we have had a power cut whilst i was out to dinner, which has given the PS2 some grief... all my game saves are gone, so i am requesting that in the interest of fairness to other competitors, my time for WRS#64 be removed from the standings...

does anyone know of a way to recover information from a memory card that has been "zapped" ???

AHH! Hope you get that figured out man! I don't know if it's possible though if it's not reading anything regularly already...

Brad, so just what did you do with your time then the past two weeks? JGTC?

I was bored so i checked MisterWeary's and SuperT's replays, both were sparkly clean 👍 Some lovely driving on both parts, and well done to everyone who actualy finished this tricky combo.

 Randy.

I've also checked Weary's replay, clean. 👍

@Cyril. Any chance of putting PAL or NTSC next to the replays in the first post?

V Edit V: 👍
