GT4 WRS Week 82: Photomode Comp

WHAT IS IT?
The WRS Photomode Competition allows WRS'ers the opportunity to show their Photomode skills. You're task is to create a picture that can be used for the Week 82 results thread (much like the example above) At the end of the week all entries in this thread will be judged by the previous winner (MINICOOPER120) and a new winner will be determined.

WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS
The only restrictions placed on the photo you create are:

• Photo must be 400 x 300 pixels
• Photo must relate to the Week 82 race
• Photo must contain the phrase "WRS Week 82 Results"

And that's it! Only one photo per competitor but feel free to update your entry during the week 👍

So what are you waiting for........get out there and start racing and/or snapping some pics

Well, I'm really glad this came about! Only thing i'm questioning is how to judge the pics. Is it the top ten like other comps or just the winner?

Yep, I don't think there'll be many entries each week so you just pick your favourite before submission time next week and PM it to me and I'll add it to the results thread 👍 If the system doesn't work we can change it next week. I'm flexible (metaphorically, not physically...cos physically I'd struggle to touch my toes )

Ren-Tec's reminds me of another "rule" I'd like to put on the pictures posted though, putting the phrase "WRS Week 82 Results" in your picture somewhere will make my life easier, so I've added that to the original list of rules 👍

michael, you might want to make a picture that not only shows the car used but also the track in the specific wrs week to make it as attractive as possible, maybe even with some action at a particularly difficult spot that was hard to take.

To get GT4 photos off the PS2 and on to the computer is a Maxdrive required? Or will a standard USB memory stick do the job?

Standard USB sticks work fine with getting photos off the PS2 👍

Yeh I have been thinking of a few things too, i think my photo is going to be a lot different from most peoples submissions.

Come on people, theres time left, but I was expecting more entries!

And uh, I think you should pick the winner either this week or every week, you probably have better judgement than me, and I also really want to enter a pic, but that wouldn't be right because I'd either pick myself and take away from everyone else or pick someone else which gives me no point to post the picture. You really know what you're doing, so if you'd like, you should change that. Just my idea.

I should be able to come up with something decent, though my comp does not have Photoshop, so I may ask someone else to add the test for the week. I've already got a car picked out for the shoot, and several ideas

Photoshop is not nessesary, if you are using Windows as your operating system you can just use the program 'Paint'. Very simple to use compared to Photoshop, although tasks are very limited when editing a photo

I have something to ask, I know it has to be the right car and track but does
it matter what mode it's in because I drove the car in GT mode. Just wanted to ask.

I don't mind, as long as the photo doesn't "look" unusable in the actual race. So if you attached a wing in GT Mode that might be extreme, but if you changed the wheels or something...I don't mind 👍

Ok thanks, and yeah I thought of that so the car looks stock. Anyways here is
my entry for this weeks picture.

The car has about 130HP and all of the mods on it. My first try at a drift as well.
And this is my first try with paint.net, took five pictures and this is my best one.

This is from my fastest run so far.

I need photoshop because its so much better. And because I use to make a living with it. Paint is just so.. bad.

Forgot how dark GT4 makes things...

That and that one has the wing... I'll get some more done later maybe when I am at home and not at work. Probably without the spoiler.

Yes that would be good because MisterWeary said that the car should look like
the car your driving, so the wing looks a little out of place. And your right about
have GT4 make the pictures dark, I had to lighten all of my pictures.
