GT5 and a Top Gear challenge

As most of you will know, the full GT5 release is expected to contain BBC Television's Top Gear track. I remember a few years ago that the Top Gear programme had a feature by Jeremy Clarkson comparing driving Laguna Seca in GT4 and in real life. With the Top Gear track appearing in GT5 I expect that the Top Gear programme will have some sort of feature on it. So that got me thinking, wouldn't it be fun if they some sort of Top Gear challenge using GT5. For those of you not familiar with the Top Gear challenges then take a look at...

They're usually a bit mad and silly, but always very, very funny.

I don't know if it's a full blown challenge, but maybe a contest.

Perhaps comparing driving the track in the game vs real life by locating the fastest laptimes in britain, in a given (reasonably priced) car, and having that person drive a remote control version of the same car around the actual track with one or more hosts inside screaming.

It might also be nice if the stig were to give a test drive around the track giving out the same hints he gives the celebs. I have a feeling celeb times are going to increase drastically now that there's a chance of them getting preview laps.

if that reasonably priced korean turd isn't in the game, I'll be sorely disappointed.

Hmm let me think... So far I can't come up with any idea.

Something quick.

Since GT5 will have the Top Gear test track.. Why not take a rookie driver.. or someone very weak at driving. Make him practice about 50 to 100 laps on Gran Turismo 5 with a wheel, (not the pad like in GT4) With N3 tires... A car .. hmm something 4WD and fast! A subi? Then make that person go and Time Attack top gear track in real life with same car and specs.
That be fun to see.. and throw some twist in it.

I do hope they do something though, would be great publicity for Gran Turismo - viewers chance to beat the Stig's time aroung the Top Gear track...

Once each month we can race for 2 hours against the Stig on the topgear-track.

When you drive around the game track in a Lacetti or Liana, at the end of the lap you get a video of Clarkson holding a strip of a card and a marker pen...

I wouldn't think the stig is very good at GT, but no one needs a virtual stig when you got racers who are posting in the time trial events. But we always need a real stig.

The Malibu is an awesome car, if we're already getting the Mazda 6, there's a chance we're getting other mid-sizers, the Malibu is one cool mid-sizer.

It's so sad that PD is using S2 tyres as default, this really impaired Gran Turismo credibility in Clarkson's NSX & Laguna Seca reportage. If they were used the right tyres, times would be much more similar to reality. So PD, equip cars in your Real Driving Simulator with Real Driving Tyres in GT5, the actual types like Yokohama Advan and not some generic N or S types.

Who can beat the stig's real life time in gt5 in whatever given car. Stig did 1:17 in a bugatti and the star could probably try break that in gt5(in addition to the reasonably priced car)
