Not sure if anyone noticed this yesterday, but IGN has published a 'professional' list of pure speculation about GT5, all based entirely off the E3 trailer.

It's actually a pretty good read, though most of the material within the article has been covered in this very forum, long ago.

Here is the link.

Not searching, FTL. Oops.

I checked the first page and it wasn't there, then proceeded to failure.

My delivery looks alot cleaner, however.

I hope you arn't seriously implying that he shouldn't have posted this because somewhere tucked away in a huge monster of a thread there is a single post not referred to in the threads title that links this article. Importantly there isn't another thread about this and it's not a frequent or stpid question thread like "is xxx car in GT5?" or "why no reverse lights yet?".

On the article, I think they're wrong on a couple of things like expecting larger grids in the NASCAR races, I just don't think we'll see more than the 16 car grids than we have now. Nothing new and we've actualy picked out more from that clip on this site than the article picks out but interesting to hear a games journalists take on it.

Exactly, how the hell are we meant to find something burried on th 45th page of a thread?

Well done for posting this, as for the "already been posted" crew, your point being? Another waste of a post?

Yeah I was sure that the trailer was completely ingame... I only thought that the flags and the jet´s were rendered... but no,it´s all ingame... nice... thx 4 the thread nice find

Nice article. Though the part in the trailer where he says the two cars should've collided... I don't really think the cars collided or were intended to collide, just come close.

you didn't watch it frame by frame, they were supposed to collide.

I've watched that section a few times and I didn't see a potential collision. I didn't watch it in HD but from what I could see it looked like the Corvette just slipped by before the Citroen's nose whipped around towards it. To me I think the Corvette just made it and the Citroen was just a fraction of a second too late to hit it. This is what I see from the video. As far as screens go, they will never be as accurate as video as sometimes stills look extremely odd, but when you watch videos of those same moments it looks natural. Then again, like I said, I watched the video in SD with not a massive resolution, but I did not see a collision.

It doesn't make sense for the car to go through the other one anyway as this is something we've never seen in GT (other than penalties, but your car turns transparent when that happens and it didn't here).

Sorry, but I think it's just too hard to tell from the angle of the clip whether they collided or not, even if you analyze it frame by frame.

Actually, yes. How many times do we get told to use the search button on forums?

That thread is a "sticky" for a reason. When you see that it's lit up with bold letters, you're supposed to read it.

Great find.
Yeah I agree its all in game footage. So I am damn impressed with the damage. Lets hope its for all cars.

Great find. Really? They dedicated one page on trying to convince us that this is real game play. Yes as if we don't know that. Genius. Then the second page is all about whether or not the citroen hit the corvette. Wow some really investigative work there, mi6 material. And to finish it all, IGN saw fitting to tell us what we all happened to know already from watching the trailer. Marvelous. Brilliant. IDIOTS

A lot, for duplicate threads, not for someone linking an article that's been posted elsewhere unless that elsewhere is a seperate thread of it's own. I'd have never spotted that post in the general discussion thread and I'm sure many others wouldn't. This isn't one of thoes stupid threads "is such and such in GT5" "xxxx vs xxxx in GT5" etc, it's a thread about an article. So in as polite a tone as I can, get off your high horse because there is nothing wrong with it.

No, you're not automatically supposed to read it, have you seen how many posts there are in that thread anyway. You're supposed to notice the sticky threads and if one's relevent then you read the relevabt part which is normally the first post.

I hope this is what Kaz meant...

Yea, the guy asked Kaz "Was it real?" and he was surprised when Kaz seemed confused. That question made no sense to him I'm sure. Was probably thinking "uh, no, you were dreaming, it was all a dream." The question "Was it all rendered in-game?" might have made more sense...

How is it known that they were supposed to collide? Do you mean they clipped thru eachother? Funny they put that in the trailer either way.
