Not a clue. This database only covers stock cars - I have a hard enough time tracking data for 1,031+ cars as-bought, without spending 8,000,000,000cr tuning them all too.

Probably the Veyron.

It always has been. You get a loading bar before every race as the track loads - if you restart a race a day doesn't pass.

I've just done a Seasonal Race and completed it several times then started it again from the post-race menu and only one day had passed, corresponding with the loading bar appearing once for the track. Whether this applies to offline races for grinding purposes... not a clue - but I'd imagine that it doesn't since before you'd have had to exit out and restart, passing a day.

Incidentally, update to post 1. 969 cars now, with 333 having verified in-garage stats and detailed drivetrain information.

No, no. You can just hit the "start" button on race now and redo a race without reloading the track. But, each time you get money/experience is a new day.

Not in the seasonal events. I started on day 289, finished 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st over eight races without leaving, got money and experience for each higher finish and ended on day 290.

I haven't experimented with GT Life, so if you say it's that way I'll take your word for it. But it is better suited for the Used Car thread.

Thank you so much for this. I really appreciate it. You don't know how much easier this will make finding the "right" car to do events when I want to make it competitive.

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!!

Famine thanks for all your hard work, Im using the database to keep track of all my GT5 racing, especially B-Spec and the seasonal events, tuning etc.

I'm still having problems with the .zip file and can't directly access the backup site here at work. Any chance someone could upload the latest version to google docs or something and post a link?

Thanks.

That's odd. I don't have anything on my site which would cause it to be blocked by any filters...

Except 15Gb of S&M arachnid pornography.

In Seasonal Event, you are right. But in GT Life races (both A and B-spec), a day still pass by even if you don't see the loading bar again. I tried this with while grinding Indy track, every time you Start a race, a day passed.

are you still working on this?

I've been adding to the copy I have downloaded to my computer as I go. I've also added fields for marking that you own it, whether it's race modifiable or not, and the class it races in. I also made all the fields sortable and filterable.

I can upload it if you like.

That's correct. The current uploaded version has 969 observed cars and 333 with confirmed in-garage stats. The offline version currently has 976 observed cars and 404 with confirmed in-garage stats (to be updated... later).

If you're just after a big list of car names, the Master Car List (GT5 forum, sticky) has all of them. If you're just after a big list of car names with observed stats, mygranturismo.net has that and a checklist to track your cars.

I have downloaded your excellent car list and have been playing around with it too, making it filter and sortable etc. I was just wondering why you haven't added the three X2010's? I can confirm all the garage stats for them if you like and any other cars I own later tonight. Should I PM you or post on this thread?

Good job on converting all the crappy torque figures in the game to a proper unit that means something to human beings like ft lbf.

here's my modified version of your list, it's got 1033 cars. Those that are observed but I haven't checked stats for are highlighted in yellow.

right now I'm working on putting race classes (Super GT, LMP, etc) with race cars, but that is a pain all its own.

Same reason any other currently absented car is missing - I haven't seen one, even to note the fictional "dealer" stats of them.

The problem is...

All the car stats I've noted are as-they-arrive-in-your-garage. That's not driven, not modified, not oil changed, not rebuilt - just the stats as they first appear in your garage. The power and weight rating (and drive type) are taken off the main garage overview, with the dumb torque rating taken from the car's individual view. Other stats - like the tuning type and base gearbox - require me to use the car (to try and tune it and then to drive it far enough to change up until I can'ts changes ups nos mores). Unless I can guarantee that this is the case with any data you provide, I can't add it - simply because that's the way the data goes.

However, I am also playing the game and I'm not that far off unlocking the X1/2010 myself, but thanks for the offer.

As an additional note, if you have anything rare and missing that you haven't lubed, modified or driven and you want to gift it to me, feel free. I'll keep it only as long as I have to.

Good job on converting all the crappy torque figures in the game to a proper unit that means something to human beings like ft lbf.

I should add that the torque conversion is just a guide, which is why I hide that column. The US version comes with lbft and I have noted some discrepancy - within the standard deviation of the conversion factor - between my converted numbers and their original ones. But I can't bring myself to give quantities of force in metric units and quantities of power in Imperial units, even if I give quantites of mass in metric units. Since power is force/time, power and force should either both be metric (kgm and PS [kgm/s]) or Imperial (lbft and hp [lbft/s]).

It rankles. :D

Does anyone know where this car is coming from? I've taken a look at the DB but it's marked as "U", so I guess "Unknown"?

(Yes, it's from Ingolstadt. Funny. :P)

Check the top of the column that "U" sits in...

Edit: Stats update - 980 cars, 441 verified.

Whenever I next update, which will probably be a couple of days.

Thanks for this great list, keep coming back to it.

You'll note that the power column is part bold, part not. Where the power figure is bold, this is the dealership power figure. Where it is not, this is the garage overview/tuning shop power figure (which, since it's the only place a figure is duplicated, I'm taking as "real"). Anything with a non-bold power figure has had its real stats taken and logged - this is what you will see when the car is in your garage. Occasionally, a car's weight will change too (don't ask). This is also reflected in those cars.

I understand to help verification of the list you would:

find a line with bold data:
e.g. Volkswagen New Beetle Cup Car '00 U 2000 FF Race Standard 5 - U - - 201HP

Buy the car: Volkswagen New Beetle Cup Car '00
Put in the garage.
Go to the garage and verify the power and weight.

Confirm what you found to Famine in a PM?

Stupid question but what'd be a decent car for the extreme series? Yet, it should have a high resale value since I don't really want to keep it forever - shouldn't cost more than 2.5m credits, if possible. :)

Can't really help you. The Extreme Series has a lot of different events for cars which aren't eligible for other events - NASCAR, FGT, JGTC, DTM - so you'll need a bunch of cars.

Yes, however be aware that there are two places where the power reading is given in the garage. The garage overview (the one with lots of cars) and the car's individual stats (with just that car).

I'm taking power and weight from the garage overview, and torque from the car's individual stats.

I might have an update coming this evening, so hold fire on assisting just yet.

Indeed - yet, you can't sell the Supra '97, for example. :(

Thanks!
