GT5 Data download (beginning)

Hi

Finally i made my ps3 download that data package that should make the game run and load faster...

Untill now it have been downloading for 2 hours...
Is that normal????

I can still go on PS3 menu, so its not frozen or anything, but it dosnt seem to be working a lot lol

Tell me about this??? it tryed to read in forum but didnt find answers...

The data package it ask about in the beginning of playing this game..
Some say it takes 1hour to download, but me so far is 2hours...

I dont know, but in the start of playing this game, it ask if you wanna do a datainstallation to make loadingtimes shorter and different things better...

I just havent done this before now.....

And its mega slow while doing it

Initial install, ok??
But in beginning when no game played it was 2 hours and i stopped it...
Now in 20min its 3 hours - soo why is it so long??? internet speed is ok here, so i dont understand....

What can i do ??? any ideas???

its downloaded i guess but freeze in the install.......

Errr, installing doesn't require an internet connection. The install is so the game can access from your HD. rather than the blue ray. Methinks you are confused.

Are you saying that you played the game and then went back in the options and chose to install data? If so and it is still going after 3 hours it is probably frozen. Go to XMB and try and quit game. But don't blame me if something happens, it's either that or you can leave it or you can turn the ps3 off with the power button but I wouldn't do that.

It should not take 3 hours.
I had a powercut whilst installing and the install bar got stuck when I tried to re install. If it is still stuck I would recommend turning off your ps3 and going to the gt5 data file (DO NOT TOUCH YOUR SAVE FILE) and try to delete it. If you can delete it then try the install again and it should work. If you can not delete the data file and it says that it is corrupted then you need to set your ps3 into recovery mode and select option 3 (restore file system). This will restore the ps3 system files and means that you can delete your gt5 install data, you can then attempt a fresh istall.
